Oooo, that headline sounds so fancy! “GMT” and all that! To make it simpler, 2/5/2017 1am Greenwich Mean time is 7pm 2/4/2017 Chicago time (where I am). It is 2pm Sydney time (I think), and various other times all over Australia (Australia is weird! 13 TIME ZONES!!!!!). And 10am in Japan. And 6:30am India time (sorry Indian readers!).
I hope many of you are awake and interested and able to join in! All you have to do is go to twitter and login and type into the search box “#HSSH” That will let you see what everyone else is tweeting with our hashtag (and possibly some other random strangers who are using the same one).
And to join in the conversation, just tweet anything you want with the hashtag “#HSSH” attached.
I will give a 15, 10, and 5 minute countdown to when to start the film, and then another tweet when it is time to hit play. And I will tweet out a bathroom/interval break point. However, this is a movie that it probably won’t be hardship to miss a few minutes of.
Hum Saath Saath Hain got 3 votes to Main Hoon Na‘s 2 and a half and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai‘s 1 on my voting post. I am kind of glad it won, partly because it is super easy to stream (on Netflix and Hulu and Amazon Prime, last time I checked). But also because it is a really good movie to watch-while-typing. Moves at a nice glacial pace, and the plot is super predictable (just wiki the Ramayana, specifically Bharat’s story, and you can get a preview of the whole thing).
(With a little Krishna and Mahabharata thrown in!)
And it’s also fun! Lots of big song numbers, lots of love stories, lots of family drama. And lots and lots of stars! Salman, Saif, Karisma, Tabu, plus Sonali Bendre and Mohnish Behl! Oh, and Alok Nath and Reema Lagoo.
Believe me, you’ll like it! And I bet you will have plenty to say about it too!
Hope to see you all in the twitterverse!
I’ll add it to my calendar! Will try my bestest to be free and tweeting 🙂
Lol yes Australia is very weird with our times zones. ..some states are only half hour behind 😒

I’m excited! I’ve got my twitter account all set up and ready to go. I’m looking forward to watching Hum Saath Saath Hain again. I watched it very early on (which for me, was only a little over a year ago). I remember enjoying the songs, and Saif and Karisma, but I did find it a bit slow. I watched it right after a run of Hum Aapke Hain Koun, DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Dil to Pagal Hai, so I think it got overshadowed, and lost in the shuffle, a bit. I’ve re-watched all of those other movies and liked them even more with each viewing. I’m sure this will be the same!

You will probably still find it a bit slow. But it is definitely a lot of fun to watch as a group! And you will almost certainly enjoy it more now then when you saw it the first time. Now that you know who Salman is and all that!

We only have 5 time zones, some states are in the same time zone but the online time zone converters give a separate listing for each state/territory capital city.

Hey! That’s the same as the US! If you count Alaska. Oh wait, Hawaii! So we have 6. and I guess I shouldn’t judge.

Did you deliberately pick Super Bowl Sunday (or the Saturday night before)? I mean, was this meant to be alternate entertainment for all the non-football fans? Anyway, have fun.

No, did not think about that at all! I picked it because I don’t have to teach Sunday school the next day so I can sleep in.
