I put up the podcast after I got home last night, but I didn’t want to put out an announcement until my SPOILER post was up. Because, as always, the podcast won’t really make sense unless you know the plot of the film already.
But if you do know the plot of the film, it’s a fun one! Dina hasn’t seen Prithviraj in anything else, or any Malayalam movies, so I tried to sort of give her a sense of how different his usual films are, so we got to talk about Malayalam films a little at the beginning.
And Dina has just seen Ayee Milan ki Bela, so we ended with her telling me a little about that, which is cool.
And in between, we talked about Naam Shabana, and also a police car passed us! Very exciting.

Not looking likely. Here’s exciting news: I’m moving! my lease is up in two months.
Here’s depressing news: that means I have to start spending every free moment for the next 2 months packing, so probably no more than one film in theaters each week from now on. It just hit me this morning, looking at my incredibly over-stuffed apartment, that there is no way I can make this work unless I spend every free moment on it. Blech!!!

Oh cool. It would have been nice to see a comparison between Naam Shabana and Take off – different genre but both Women centric movies with male stars as supporting characters.
