New Youtube Video, Box Office

Yet another disastrous video.  It’s the stupid sun!  Which is not coming out any more.  And the only way I can get the right kind of light is if I use sunlight.  Oh well, again, the content is good even if the visuals are fuzzy.

It’s the video version of this post.

  1. Should I give up suggesting better staging for your videos? I know someone in the Chicago area who would be happy to come to your apartment and work with you on a better arrangement.

    • Yes, you should give up 🙂

It works okay, if not perfect, so long as the sun is out. And I’m at a middle point where the videos aren’t driving enough traffic to the blog to be worth spending more than 10 minutes on, but at the same time they are steadily growing and gaining viewers so the poor quality is not driving people away enough for me to worry about it. When I have a chance and feel like it, I will experiment and try to find a better system, but until I have a couple hours to spend on it, this is as good as it gets.

  2. ok i’ve to say this..you don’t need an expensive s/w or great editing skills to create a video..you need a good graphic card which suits your system..after recording you need to render your raw video then use that video for editing..change the video’s opacity at the end…simple..you don’t need anybody’s help..please please please listen….but then again it is your wish..can’t interfere with it..

    • I’m happy to make small changes, I just need it to be simple enough that it won’t take me more than half an hour start to finish. Because time is content, for me. It takes 40 minutes to write a short blog post, I can replace that with a video. But if it takes an hour or two hours or three or four or five or six, that’s two days worth of blog content, and then I start to lose readers. And right now, like I said, the videos are doing almost nothing in terms of getting me blog readers, so I don’t really care about them for themselves.

Do you have a recommendation for an editing program I can download for free that would be easy to use?
