More photos are out, and rather than updating the previous post which you may not notice, I am putting out a whole new one.
First, and most importantly, Shahrukh!
Better view of his outfit. I still miss the beard and think his face doesn’t look as good, but a three piece suit is always a nice choice, especially in shades of black, so I approve of that. And the pocket square is a perfect touch of color. Does anyone know what that pin on his lapel is?
And video! Of him greeting Anushka. Do you think if, after Virat retires, I meet the next captain of the Indian Cricket team and make him fall in love with me and we get married, Shahrukh would come and kiss my hands? Because that would almost be reason enough to do it.
And of him dancing with Virat and Anushka. That’s it, I really should plan on marrying the next Cricket captain.
And another one, just with Virat. Maybe what I do is send a note to the next Cricket captain, pointing out that if we scam SRK by pretending to get married, he would dance with both of us.
And I found out why Dhoni wasn’t holding his wife’s hand. It’s because he was on Daddy Duty! Oh my gosh, their daughter looks amazing. Better dressed than Kat, FOR SURE.
Next, old school glamour! Rekha and Madhuri. Notice how much better they wear their saris, and more natural they look than the younger folks.
And a look at Rekha by herself, looking as perfect as always. She is so smart to have found a look that works for her and just stuck with it.
And Madhuri by herself, I love the contrast between her skirt and her drape, and the black, white, and gold is so striking.
Karan came with Siddharth as arm candy. They both looked great, Karan especially. I like the variation on his usual black with red touches, white with black touches is super dashing. Especially with the matching shoes.
Anurag Kashyap, on the other hand, NO! Not a jeans event! It doesn’t make him look cool and rebellious, just rude and disrespectful. Also, I am not sure if that is his daughter or date, I am going with daughter, in which case I won’t say anything about her outfit through the previously mentioned “teenage girls get to wear whatever they want because they have enough problems” loophole.
Sridevi was there too, looking stunning. Blue and black is a bold color combo, and it makes her stand right out. Plus the unusual high colored blouse, and the massive jewelry. Just, amazing.
Ranbir always looks good in a suit, especially with a slight scruff, but I still feel like he needs to run a comb through his hair.
I’m including a photo of Aditi Rai Hydari not because she is super famous or anything, but her outfit is GORGEOUS. Like, if I could only pick one outfit out of all of this to wear, this is the one. Or even just to look at.
Varun I am including just because he is famous, not because he has notable clothes in anyway. They are fine, not super ugly or super attractive.
I probably still don’t have all the photos, but between this post and the last post I think I can safely say:
Best Dressed Female: Three way tie, Sridevi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Dhoni’s Baby
Worst Dressed Female: Katrina Kaif by a landslide
Best Dressed Male: Karan Johar
Worst Dressed Male: Anurag Kashyap who should be ASHAMED
Most fun at wedding reception, Male: Shahrukh and Virat, tied
Most fun at wedding reception, Female: Dhoni’s Baby
Isn’t this two different outfits on Rekha? The top one looks more pink, which could just be the lighting, but in the second photo she has a maag tikka which isn’t in the first.

Thank you! I think you are right. I found a different source that I think has the correct outfit, updated now.

Katrina has such a slamming figure and that dress makes her look wide and awkward, eek.
That shot with Kangana, Sridevi and Madhuri was so great. It felt like the elders giving their blessings to the new generation.

Katrina always stuns me with her poor taste. At least half the time she looks awkward in formal wear. It kind of makes me like her more, it seems like in real life she prefers to go without make-up or fancy hair, and just wear jeans and t-shirts. That’s what most of her candids look like, someone you wouldn’t necessarily even notice in a crowd. It seems part of her general more private attitude, she doesn’t give a lot of interviews or seem to thrive on attention.

Rekha, Madhuri and Sri show you how it’s done. Rekha is dressed very traditionally like a southern woman would. That is an enviable saree! I know it looks like sticking to a style, but there’s little scope for experimentation with those south silks. Or any of our silk saris. Nine yards of unstiched silk without proper tucking and securing looks like Priyanka’s messy sari!
The picture of kangana with the ladies makes her outfit look elegant and sensible doesn’t it? Even though she’s too wafer thin to make a sari look right!

What I really love about all 3 of them is that they are dressed to the very top of dressiness, but without letting the clothes overwhelm them. It’s beautiful, but not showy, you know? Katrina, for instance, is both not beautiful and also really too showy and in your face, like she is trying to be the center of attention. While Madhuri, Sridevi, Rekha, if you look close they have amazing patterns on their saris and perfectly fitted blouses and elegant necklaces, but you have to look close to notice it, they aren’t throwing themselves at you.

They’re dressed like women their age should be dressed. They don’t need to try too hard. Unlike Kat. That dress looks like it was stitched by home science students! 😂 or maybe it had a dupatta that kat thought she could live without.

Just now seeing this post. My thought on seeing the photo of them was, “It’s the three graces.” So lovely, like a pre-Raphaelite painting.

The Tamilian in Rekha makes her stick to the traditional Kaanjevaram Sarees, which I love.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like Manish Malhotra’s sarees? They look really gaudy to me.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. I also think he designs them to be easy to wear, so they never have that really breathtaking drape, but you also don’t have to worry about the mess that Priyanka is in when you wear one. But sometimes he will go a little more traditional, let the pattern in the fabric do the talking for him, and then they are wonderful.

Is he the one who designed Anushka’s wedding lehenga in Around Dil? Or Sabyasachi? Either way, it looked really gorgeous.

Internet says it was Manish! And that was gorgeous. Maybe it’s the same thing I was seeing, he’s better when he goes fully big. And in movies, he feels like he can do that.

Oh and the other problem I just realized while looking through photos of his line, sarees look terrible on the high fashion model types. So it isn’t until I find a photo of someone like Rani wearing one that I go “oh, okay, THAT’s how it is supposed to look!” the photos from his ramp shows just aren’t right.

I find his work in movies better, like Deepika in OSO or Sushmita in Main Hoon Na.

Dhoni’s daughter knows malayalam very well. She sings and speaks in Malayalam. May be her babysitter is from Kerala.

Yes! And in a subtle way, she doesn’t need the bold colors to make her mark.

Solid plan! Also point out that Virat got a hand kiss as well as a bear hug, just to sweeten the deal.

I just assume the main reason people become Cricket players in India is so they can hang out wiht movie stars. Or else the main reason movie stars become movie stars is so they can hang out with Cricket players. One or the other.
