Vote Here! Which Juhi Movie(s) Should I Review For Juhi Week?

I can’t decide! Help me! I’ve seen a whole bunch that I haven’t fully reviewed and I can do a quick rewatch and throw up a review. But which ones????

I like writing reviews that people are excited about and will comment on. So, which of these film review ideas excites you?

      • As I can read in the comments😀 how about a think piece on some of the 90s heroines like Juhi,Madhuri,Kajol,Karishma,Manisha. I know it maybe a lot of work but maybe skipping their personal lives, purely on their filmography, performance basis,a comparitive analysis? Also how they are fitting in the today’s movie world. I often feel Juhi isn’t rated highly cos she has been branded the beauty queen, chirpy, bubbly etc.In today’s social media stan culture, Alia,Deepika etc are hyped for roles and performances that don’t even measure to half what these ladies have done. And while male actors gets eulogies written about them on their every birthdays, noone writes about the women. Just a thought to park and take up when u have time.

  1. I’d vote for Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke too! I just love that movie! Plus it would be fun to see a review of one of Aamir’s movies from when he was young. I don’t think you’ve done much of those have you?

  2. Another vote for Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, though I am also curious to hear your thoughts on QSQT. I would also love the Juhi-Shahrukh and Juhi-Aamir posts.

  3. I see that I have missed “Juhi Week,” and Juhi is my absolute and all-time fave : D : D : D I’ll be excited to catch up with all that you have written, but do hope that you will revisit QSQT sometime. Obviously not the best Juhi performance (though not a bad start at all, either!), but I would be really interested to hear your thoughts on it from a history/significance perspective. You know so much about the history of the industry, and so many people point to QSQT as being a big turning point in Hindi film, but I honestly don’t watch a lot of ’80s films so I don’t have a very good sense of how true that is/how unusual a product it was at the time.

    • So much great stuff to catch up on for you! I think I tagged everything “Juhi Day” or “Juhi Chawla” so it should be easy to find.

I really should visit QSQT at some point, but it’s so saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad! I would rather rewatch Hum Hain Rahe Pyar Ki over and over again.
