Best Hindi Love Songs of 2010, Ranked

Yes, I am doing it, I am taking a stand and making a judgment call! These are the best love songs of 2010 and everything else is useless TRASH! Not only that, I’m even ranking them. Disagree if you dare. (oh, and there will probably be a party song post later, so don’t freak out because “Sheila Ki Jawani” is missing or something. Just pure love songs)

“Tere Naina” from My Name is Khan

“Tere Mast Mast Do Nain” from Dabangg

“Pee Loon” from Once Upon a Time in Mumbai

“Bahara” from I Hate Luv Storys

“Do Nishaaniyan” from Jhootha Hi Sahi

“Zindagi Do Pal Ki” from Kites

“Alisha” from Pyaar Impossible

What do you think? I feel pretty confident except for the order of the first three, and also if I missed something from one of the few 2010 movies I haven’t seen.

  1. I will dare to disagree! Pee Loon is definitely #1. Didn’t even know what movie it was from I’ve gotten that song stuck in my head so many times. It’s a beauty. I might also put Tere Mast Mast Do Main ahead of Tere Naina, just really like the drums and the way it drops into the chorus, plus I’m partial to that rawer sound. So basically switch #1 and #3. The others I don’t have strong feelings about.

    • I love Pee Loon! And I love the whole movie, but that song is amazing. Still gonna make it 3 though because I think the other two are better. Might be willing to be convinced to move Tera Mast Mast up though, because yeah, the sound is so much stronger.

  2. I’d switch Pee Loon with Tum Jo Aaye. Also it’s more of a “yearning because of separation” type of love song but I really love Saajna from Lamhaa

    • Tum Jo aaye from the same movie, right? I like that one too, I would be willing to give it a place on the list, but I’m sticking with Pee Loon at the top.

  3. My favorites from your list are Tere Naina and Bahara! I also wanted to add that this is such a good song as well though I don’t like it much in the movie. I thought the video looked cute but their relationship is much different in Raajneeti.

  4. I wouldn’t say any of the songs are my favorites but Bahara, Pee Loon and Bheegi Si as Niki suggested would top for me. I went and looked at 2010 movies list, not a good year for love songs!

    • Except that Pee Loon is so amazingly good, plus Bahara, I feel like that is enough for any year.

    • Yes indeed! I personally like Tere Naina better which is why I picked it, but you can make a case for Sajda.

      • I have to give a slight edge to the video for Sajda. Very montage-y, you see their wedding, their family, their sex life, and one final burst of happiness before everything goes south.

        • And now I want to watch it again! Also, I love what we see of their sex life. So joyful, without breaking with what we already know of Shahrukh’s character.
