Happy start of the Christmas season! It is now the first Sunday of Advent, AND after Thanksgiving. So both the American shopping calendar, and the Christian calendar, say I can put up my Christmas trees.
I forgot, I lost two trees last year. So I am now down to only 4 at home, and the one new one I bought for work. But they still all look beautiful.
In my bedroom, my Disney tree with Mickey and Minnie around the bottom (to match my Mickey and Minnie sheets).
In the living room, my largest tree with the traditional SRK ornament on top and another SRK hidden beneath with the nativity scene.
In the bathroom, the funky looking tree that I just put a big red stuffed ball on top of this year because anything else would overbalance it.
And finally the little USB powered tree stuck on the kitchen counter between the knife block and the utensil jar.
And finally, to match my 4 trees, 4 separate “All I Want for Christmas Is You” fan videos!!!
And bonus, one “Last Christmas” video!

Ranbir filmed a lot in the snow, apparently. I really enjoyed the SRK fanvid where his dance moves match up with the Christmas song. But I’m a bit bummed that all the fanvids are so many years old. I did a quick search but couldn’t find any fanvids with clips from JHMS or Zero.

Yeah, fanvids seem to have gone out of style, most of the really good ones are 5-15 years old. And Christmas fanvids are a rare beast indeed.

BTW congrats on your Christmas tree arrivals. My children haven’t realized it is December yet, so I haven’t even gotten the Advent Calendar out of the garage.

Fortunately, there are the Alps…although I’m sure there also is a lot of snowy landscape in India…and KHNH has a firm place in the Chtistmas-Fan-Videos 🙂

Is that obsessive worship of the stars not happening anymore? Are fan girls not fangirling anymore? Are people getting too lazy to do anything more than tweet or is anything that requires more than a 2-second attention span too much to tackle? A good fan vid is such fun!

I vote for your last option! The tweet chains and gifs and stuff seem to be taking off. Although Sartrekid, our occasional commentator, did just make a few recent fanvids.
I love good fanvids! It’s an art.
