Putting this post up so you have time to find it and prepare yourself, but the actual start time is at 2pm Chicago time, half an hour from when this post publishes.
When I start watching the movie, I will put a comment below saying “I’ve started watching the movie” or something.
As you watch along with me, just put in new comments down below, and refresh the page regularly to make sure you see all the comments other people are posting. It worked great last week, let’s see how we do this week!
AHHH I am sad I missed the kiss but good god I love the sexual tension. Also, who doesn’t look at Fawad and have “gande gande kayal”

Shouldn’t he take his vest and cravat off before going to bed…for comfortable reasons of course…

Can’t Fawad at least take off his tie and vest before sleeping? Are they like his chastity belt?

Lol! They should have gone for Bhansali lighting–a bajillion candles and you think–who lit all those? Who dusts them?

I’m not loving this look on Fawad, a bit too aggressive in his rejection.

It was aggressive, but it was also true. Can great sex really overcome such differences?

I feel like the film did the basic groundwork to show they can work. She was perfect helping him with the business deal, his family loves her, his servants love her, what else matters? Also, they like sitting around drinking wine together, that’s enough to build a marriage on. Could have been more, but at least there was something.

Sitting around and drinking wine is definitely my husband’s and my favorite activity and I can attest that it is DEFINITELY enough to build a marriage on.

Aaarrrgh. Control freak bosses sending out Friday afternoon request. This was so fun! Enjoy the rest. I’ll finish later!
As an aside, I think my sister would go for Fawad. So far I haven’t really managed to get her into Indian movies, but he’s hard to resist.

Anyone will go for Fawad! He’s like chocolate.

Sequel: Kirron’s sweet husband dies, Ratna decides to divorce Farookh, no one supports her except (unexpectedly) Kirron and Sonam.
Kirron and Ratna rent an apartment together and start a detective agency! Or something.

Ratna is great here too, suddenly getting all giggly and helpless now that her husband is back to take control.

this is where I start to feel like the film really really rushed because they needed a 2 hour running time. Really? there’s no more scenes? Just suddenly Fawad changes his mind?

I agree
