Happy April Fools! Songs in Which the Hero Plays the Fool

I love these songs! It’s not that the hero is foolish, it’s that he is trying to cheer up the people around him (love interest, small children, etc.) by ACTING foolish. Like a court jester. Which is a movie that is now on Prime by the way, and you should all watch it and share it with your children. For Happiness.

Not gonna make you wait, starting with “Main Koi Aisa Geet Goan”

And to be even handed, moving on to “Khandala”

And Salman! In “Chicken Kuk-Doo-Koo”

And for Claudia (hi Claudia!), “I am Sorry” from One 2 Ka 4

Okay, what else can you think of? Fun happy silly songs where the hero purposefully makes himself look foolish, just to make someone else laugh?

  1. I’m not sure if these would fit, but here are my contributions.

    “Ainvayi Ainvayi”

    “Chandralekha”

    “D Se Dance”

    “Gold Tamba”

    “Gulaabo”

    “Pelhi Baar”

    “Shake It Like Shammi”

    “Zingaat”

    • Hmm. I’m gonna say, in my mind, only Chandralekha works. The others about the guy goofing, but still believing he is cool. Chandralekha, he goes way out of his comfort zone just to please her. Also, SUCH A GOOD MOVIE!!!!

    • I saw these and liked the Gulaabo song so much I saw the movie, and it was TERRIBLE. Yet I actually saw he whole thing, I guess I really like Alia. But that song is GREAT, it doesn’t deserve to be in such a bad movie.

      • That’s how I started too, and that’s still kind of how I am–my interest in a movie piques if the songs are good. A lot of the time, great songs = terrible movies. I wouldn’t say Shaandaar is bad, just insanely ridiculous, stupid, and pointless. But I love Alia too, and she looked gorgeous, so it’s all good and fine.
But you’re right, the song is amazing, and I can’t believe one song convinced you to watch an entire movie.

        • Never watch Tees Mehr Khan. No matter how good Sheila Ki Jawani is, it’s just not worth it! Don’t do it to yourself!

      • THANK YOU!!!! I hate that movie! Shahid’s performance is really good, the songs are fun, but the movie as a whole is just too weird. Although other people here really like it.

  2. You make me smile (also with your cards) πŸ™‚ thanks a lot, Margaret!
I’m sorry is still one of the most watched by the kids…since four years! They don’t get tired of this song! But they also love – for the funny side – the police-song in Baadshah, the Main Hoon Na-song (the only “correct” title they used from the very beginning) and the He-dances-on-a-taxi song from KalHoNaHo (now with some knowledge in English, they started to call it Pretty Woman)
