Raid 2 Might Happen!
I really did not think this was going to happen, of all movies. I mean, I love Raid, you all know I do. Who doesn’t love a lowstakes film with Ajay in his fancy tax collector pants? But a sequel? Really? I hope it keeps the same tone, no need to up the stakes, I could happily just keep watching him go around making speeches about law and duty to tax dodgers, with his random team of modestly dressed 80s office workers.
Biggest wish of course, spin off series about awesome Gayathiri Iyer, the female tax inspector.
How about you, my fellow Raid fans? What is on your wish list for this film that may or may not happen and about which we know nothing?
Alia Escapes Ranbir!
Mahesh Bhatt mentioned on social media or something (this is a no news post, so I don’t care enough to track it down) that Alia came to visit. They live nearby so she walked from Ranbir’s apartment to theirs for a visit, but kept mask and gloves on the whole time and sat at a distance. But no word on whether Shaheen was there or what.
Anyhoo, I am now worried about Shaheen and Pooja! Here are two young women with conditions that can be exacerbated by stress and isolation, who may still be living alone (and Shaheen lost Alia who used to live with her when she moved in with Ranbir). I want Alia to move back home, and Shaheen and Pooja too, and then Mahesh would be so happy, and they could all watch movies together. Actually, I want to move in with Mahesh and Soni Razdan and watch movies with them, don’t you? Forget Alia, adopt me as your third daughter! (although my parents are nice too, last night we got Turkish food delivered and watched Baby Driver)

Hrithik, you are so cute. The things that in other people I would find irritating and narcessistic, somehow I just find charming with you. Anyway, his response to people feeling in distress is to repost his triumphal lose the weight/gain the muscle video:

I can’t ever decide whose family I would want to go live at for an extended period fo time: Mahesh Bhatt or Anil Kapoor. But yes, if their daughters were around, I would love to sit around and watch movies with them.
Oh, also Aaryan and Suhana are home with Sharukh. I read it on MissMalini and I generally trust her “news” more than other sources like Pinkvilla and Bollywood Hungama.

I think I might slightly lean Bhatt in this situation. I’d love to hang out with Sonam and Rhea, but I don’t know if I want to live in close quarters with Harsh. His personality seems like it might be a bit of a “look but don’t touch” thing. But I would sooooooooooooo hang out with Pooja and Shaheen and Alia all the live long day. And then Mahesh could make a movie about it that makes all the women seem strong and complex and good, and him look like garbage.
Oh good, I want them to be home! They may not want to be home (I haven’t heard a lot of college kids going “woo-hoo, back in my childhood bedroom!”), but I am happy.

Oh Harsh would absolutely be confined to the gym if I were living in the Kapoor household. Like in Heer, we would set up a nice bed, shower, and maybe a TV and some comic books in there and he would be brought meals at regular intervals. He gets to workout all day and I get to spend time with the rest of the family and watch movies!

By contrast, Meezaan Jafery has been an examplary quarantine celebrity, doing shirtless farming and also posing shirtless with his dog and also posing shirtless in the gym. I’ve grown very fond of him.

That’s the one. But for me, he has redeemed himself by his excellent understanding of what kind of content I need right now. He also did an adorable Q&A. As opposed to Harsh who did a streamed conversation with some instagram lady. I don’t understand what kind of disorder you need to have to think that is content.

I don’t really know anything about Meezan Jaffrey and I have to see him in something to develop a crush on him, but his Instagram is on point! Maybe this is the motivation I need to watch Mahlaal, although, I am not in the mood for tragic endings at all. Also, is it just me, or does Meezan look what would happen if Kunal Kapoor and Ranveer Singh had a baby?!

Bhatt family all the way. After what I just found out about Sonam’s husband and the inhuman way he and his company treat their workers, I’m done with Sonam and her family. They’re just garbage.

I already had a bad feeling about Sonam’s husband because he is a sneaker collector? Anyway, I still like the Kapoors, but if we are talking folks I want to hang out with indefinitely, I think the Bhatts have a slight edge.

I just came across a labour rights monitoring organisation report( WRC) about how terribly Sonam’s husband treat their workers. They were beaten and abused physically and verbally in the most despicable manner, and all because the workers wanted better working conditions and drinking water. Yet the company’s revenue is close to a billion dollars a year. Just sickening. I can’t imagine Sonam or her family don’t know the kind of people she has married into.

It always makes me think “heck, I don’t have to work out!” Because he looks pretty darn good to me at the start, which means gym bodies are pointless in terms of attracting the opposite sex.

Okay, I finally watched the Hrithik video and there is NO WAY he has the dehydrated 6 pack abs at 6:49 in the video one day before he started shooting for Kabir Singh and did not show them in the movie! He clearly got them after the shooting was over and before the release of the movie. But over all, the video is just so hilarious. Thanks for posting it.

This might turn out to be just rumours, but in a small corner of Twitter (that I habit), there are speculations that Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are together or dating and he is staying in her house now during the quarantine.

I love them together and I want this to be true so badly! They were both at the same Holi party that Nick and Priyanka were at this year. I hope they’re really a thing. I just want Katrina’s happiness and Vicky seems so sweet and endearing that he’ll be good to her.

And he’s young, so perfect age to start a family and be a father (which Kat has said she wants, kids and family and stuff of her own). Salman might be her soulmate in many ways, but has so much in his life and so many illnesses already, I don’t know if I would want him to be the father of my children.

I am sticking with him being endearing largely because he is such an incredibly excellent Dad (it appears). Like, the same things that make him such a great Dad, are what make him so likable. He is able to be really really excited about what someone else wants and pleasing them, not just empathy but like Joyful empathy. And he loves it when other people do well.
Also, yes, those boys are going to get the launch of their dreams, if they want it. And if they want to be, like, practical nurses, Hrithik will be there in the front row at their graduation leading the cheers, and pointing to everyone else saying “that’s my son! The one in the pink scrubs! He’s going to spend his life giving people sponge baths and pills, isn’t that WONDERFUL?? I am so proud.”
