Bonus WatchAlong! 7am Chicago time Monday (8am EST, evening in Europe and Australia and Japan)

Okay, this means the people who wanted to participate from the east coast of America will have to wake up a wee bit early. But our global friends have suffered enough with our Friday afternoon time! Let them have the nicer schedule!

Special international watchalong!!!!! 7am Chicago time!!!!

Now, what shall we see? It is Karan Johar’s birthday, so it MUST be a Dharma film:

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

We could all hate on Little Anjali together! There is no greater joy!

Baar Baar Dekho

Sid M. is cute, Kat is endearing, great soundtrack.

Student of the Year 2

Kabaddi kabaddi kabaddi kabaddi! Will Smith!

OK Jaanu

I haven’t even seen it myself! But I’ve seen the Tamil original so I know it is a cute story, and ARK is in it so I know it has a cute hero.

  1. Ugh I would love to watch SOTY2 with you all but not sure I want a 5 am wakeup call…although it’s entirely possible that the new dog will wake me a close to that time so maybe

  2. Not sure if I’ll manage to get myself up that early, but my vote would be KKHH, it’s one of my all time favorites. SOTY2 would be second.

    • Oh, I have faith in you! You can do it! Or at least, swing in for the last hour.

    • I’m gonna guess SOTY2 will win. But don’t worry, you’ll love it! It’s like SOTY1 but with less depth and realism.

      • I have seen SOTY2 and I am so up for making fun of how much buffer and older Tiger looks than everyone else, especially in the shirtless training scenes. Looking forward to it!

  3. I’m in! Yay! I can see from the other votes that I have no hope of prevailing, but I’m in a BBD place right now. Beautiful people, slightly silly plot, nice songs. (Maybe SOTY 2 fits that bill? Can I watch if I haven’t seen SOTY 1?)

    • You can definitely watch SOTY2 without knowing anything about SOTY1. Oh, have you seen Breaking Away? SOTY2 is Breaking Away, by way of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, and with Kabaddi instead of bikes.
