Friday WatchAlong! What Should We Watch for Shahrukh’s Birthday Weekend????

We have been having our delightful little Hrithik fest this month, all through Shahrukh Birthday Month. But on his actual birthday weekend, we really need to celebrate The SRK. But HOW????

What should we watch!?!?!?!? Any Shahrukh movie you want, suggest it here!

We haven’t done DDLJ in a watchalong.

  1. I still think about how I missed the KKHH watch along that was at like midnight my time, so of these options, that has my vote. I’d also be fine with any of the big budget action films he’s put out in the last few years–Chennai Express, HNY, Dilwale, etc. Those could be fun.

      • Friday I think would work better for me. Considering 1) I spent all of last weekend moving, 2) just the nature of my job teaching in a pandemic, and 3) I have the entire first week of November off from work, I would very much like to sleep in on Saturday 🙂 Plus, my roommate and I are planning on trying the Indian place down the street from us for the first time on Friday, so it’ll all fit nicely.

  2. OOOH KKHH! But I am with Courtney with Chennai Express, Happy New Year, and Dilwale! I may be able to be there for part of the movie on Friday but Saturday morning is a bit easier.

  3. Kuch Kuch would be fun, You did an amazing blog sequence about it recently so I feel like we’ve watched it, but I guess we haven’t. Kal Ho Na Ho I don’t appreciate enough so a watch along might improve my reading of the film. Of the actiony films Chennai Express has my vote even though my children do prefer HNY. They get a lot of me lately, so I’m okay putting them second every now and then. I don’t know if I can attend on Friday or not. I’ll plan on it but if something comes up I can’t always get out of it. I’m good for Sat. morning though, especially if I remember to set my alarm.

    • Okay, Sat morning! And you vote KKHH or Chennai Express, if I am reading this correctly.

  4. I’m going to be working on Friday in the office so I can’t join, and then I won’t be able to do Saturday either. Whatever you choose I’m looking forward to reading all the wonderful snark, though!

    • Oh dear, so you are a wash in terms of all voting! I’ve got Filmikudhi and Genevieve for Saturday and Courtney for Friday. This is HARD!

  5. Surprisingly I have something Friday evening so I have to say KKHH for Saturday if it’s possible. I was so sad to miss the first spontaneous watchalong of KKHH so it would be fun to finally comment on it.
