Woo-hoo! The Jewish abs of Aditya Roy Kapoor! Truly the best celebration possible of both Christmas and Hanukkah. Because Jesus also had Jewish abs.
Fitoor! It’s a really really bad version of Great Expectations, with a lot of pretty pictures and snow and Aditya Roy Kapoor shirtless scenes. Oh, and Tabu eating ALL THE SCENERY!!!! That’s fun. It’s on Netflix in America, and other places in other places.
Looking forward to watching it with you all at 3pm tomorrow Chicago time!!!! I will put up a post a few minutes in advance and then a “And PLAY” comment when it is time to start, and we will just go along like that. Hopefully with fewer technical glitches than last week.
Whooo abs for Hanukkah!

I guess this movie doesn’t also have a puppy?

If it does have a puppy, Tabu would stab it through the heart.

It’s on Netflix here so I am good on the technical side. 🙂

It’s Friday Ab Day! As usual, I will probably be late, but with this movie it really doesn’t matter and let’s be real, most of us are only really interested in ARK’s abs.

I do think they did a nice job with the casting of Little Katrina. She looks very similar to Adult Katrina, IMO.

And Tabu is a BLAST. But so far as I am concerned, the movie doesn’t really start until adult ARK’s shirt comes off.

Yupp. I love the Aditi Rao Hydari scenes too. There is just something about her. I wish she was in more movies.

If you haven’t seen Kaatru Velidiyai, you really need to. It’s disturbing, because it drops you right into an abusive relationship with all the complexities of love and fantasy and power. But it’s also beautiful and Aditi is great.

I did watch it based on your recommendation and agree. It was fascinating and she was great in it. I remember thinking how tragic it is that so many children who come from an abusive household become abusers eventually. And it is a fine line between recognizing that and feeling empathy for the child but not the adult.
