Happy Saturday! I’m gonna have a PJ day, because it is overcast and rainy outside, and I just got a bunch of new puzzles.

Half-Girlfriend! It’s on Netflix in America, and einthusan everywhere. It’s ridiculous and romantic and has a rain song and overall is just a total throwback to old school romance.

At 7:30am, I will put up an “and PLAY” comment and then we can all comment along right here on this post!

I like that this is as much or more a story of Shraddha than Arjun. She’s the one who met a boy who treated her as a person and started thinking she had value, she’s the one who left her marriage when it went bad, she’s the one who started her own career and found her own life, she’s the one who sought Arjun out again and ended their relationship on a better note, and now she’s the one who is going off and doing what is right for herself without regard to Arjun. Meanwhile, Arjun just went to college, met a girl, finished college, came home, and stayed dedicated to his village and life plan all along.

One of the best things about this movie, it’s only 2 hours long, but it feels like a full on Hindi film. Complete with random cul de sac pointless pre-finale plot point just to make the finale feel bigger. I just rewatched Daawat E Ishq, it’s still wonderful, but that happy ending is RUSHED.
