Happy Birthday Genevieve!!!! It’s the 24th, right? So your birthday is the same as Varun Dhawan AND my friend Dina. This is very exciting. It’s like how November 18th is my father’s birthday, my friend’s birthday, and Mickey Mouse’s birthday.
Dil Dhadakne Do!!! Super good fun movie about rich people having problems. We can watch it and yell at Anil Kapoor, cheer Farhan Akhtar, be neutral on Priyanka, and enjoy Ranveer. Oh, and it’s on Netflix, so that should be easy for everyone to find.
At 7:30am Chicago time, I will put up an “and PLAY” comment and we can all go along from there!
I’ll be in hospital recovering from surgery later today, zonked out on pain meds. Fingers crossed I’m still breathing!

Can you imagine being that stressed about money ALL THE TIME???? I’m not rich, and I know I can just get a job at McDonalds and be fine, and it is very reassuring.
(not a slam at folks struggling with poverty, but you know what I mean. If you can think in your head “oh yeah, living in one room and working for minimum wage, that’s okay and I can still be happy” it is a wonderful gift)

Some years ago there was a hack at the big grocery store in town and thieves were wiping out the bank accounts of locals. Until very recently my family has always lived hand to mouth, at at that moment, we, and all the others like us (probably a good 70% of the town) were much less stressed than all those hooty tooty middle class folks with “savings”. The thieves could only steal so much from us!
