New trailer new trailer! With Vidya! In a forest!!! And a plot I can’t quite parse from the trailer.
There is a tiger, Vidya is the new forest inspector lady, there is a bunch of mansplaining. But I am lost beyond that. The villagers….something. Debate about….something. Most of all, why isn’t Vidya in a forest inspector uniform??? She would look so great in that!!!!

Maybe the captions are not translating properly…but essentially a tiger is attacking the village..so vidya balan has arrived…and then she faces sexism/misogyny (how can a woman defeat a tiger?)…they also touch on issues of tribal rights…the urban-rural divide…environmental preservation…then politicians arrive to make a mess of things and someone also gets murdered…so it’s going to be a socio-political commentary
I am actually very intrigued…looks interesting!

Vidya really reminds me of Kate Winslet, especially now with the sorta same role she has in the Mare of Easttown (haven’t seen it yet) and Vidya in this. A middle-aged lady being badass solidarity!

It has the same writer/director as Newton so I’m sure it will be a good movie, and the trailer is interesting, but I don’t know if I have an energy for this kind of film right now.
