Happy Monday! I had a lovely lazy weekend which was my first weekend at home IN A MONTH. Boy July was crazy.

Now, questions for you! First question, inspired by the KWK discussion, what is your dream KWK interview pair?
Easy, SRK and Gauri!!!! Their relationship is private and I am curious, plus they are so close to Karan that I think all three of them will forget the cameras and just be real in a fun way.
Second question, how awesome is my weekend at home project? I made a Phone Tree!

Well, the new ‘Deva Deva’ song for Brahmastra was released. Makes me fear they kill Alia and her death is a motivation for Ranbir aka fridging the heroine (long sigh…) – I EXPECT BETTER FROM YOU AYAN!!

This song is SO MUCH BETTER than Kesariya! The tune is nicer and it’s a much better showcase of the scale and visuals this movie is promising. Alia also looks gorgeous. I really hope it doesn’t turn into fridging and I don’t think so. There have been so many teasers of Alia and Ranbir together with all this swirling fire around them that’s probably gonna be the climax of the movie. So she’s probably alive. Unless it’s another surprising-dark-twist-from-a-recent-movie-that-i-won’t-spoil-in-case-anyone-plans-on-seeing-it-and-i-haven’t-seen-this-recent-movie-either-i-only-know-about-the-twist-because-my-friend-saw-the-movie-and-told-me

Or they are separated for some stupid reason like “her father forces her to marry someone else”. No matter what, it’s one of those “I don’t need the actual girl to be happy, I just need her memories/image” songs that bother me. Like, she literally only exists as you imagine her not on her own.

You know what just occurred to me? It’s almost the exact same song as “Dhivara”. But “Dhivara” is BEFORE they meet in person, and then it’s immediately counteracted by the reality, a nice reminder that women exist beyond fantasies. I have a very slight hope that this song is gonna be the same, Ranbir has a vision of Alia or something and is singing about her. And then meets her for real and she’s super cool or something.

Do Farhan and Zoya ever do joint interviews? Feel like they would be chatty and fearless, and have many interesting stories to tell.
Actual Q: something in the leaked stills from Dunki is giving me a DDLJ callback vibe and I wonder if anyone else sees that too or if it’s in my head. Kind of fascinated by the idea of a grittier immigration story tugging on tropes from Raj and Simran’s romp through Europe.

I think all but one of them is theoretically functional. I’m tempted to make them work too! Only I don’t know if functional landlines are even still available to be installed. So for now, they are just pretty.
Agree about the Taapsee still from Dunki! But I am also worried because it looks like they may be trying to make SRK play young again. Something in his posture feels like “young kid” and it is such an effort to believe him.

Yes, know what you mean – definitely looks like at least a Harry age down to make him compatible with Taapsee. I have been curious to see them together though, I feel like their acting styles could play really well together.

Although I did not (deliberately) see any stills from Dunki, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him playing younger than 50. It would not only be because of Tapsee, imo, but because he feels younger.

I didn’t think anything of the stills but you’re right. It looks like Taapsee is also playing younger, like a student, so obviously he has to play much younger if they’re paired together! I hope not though! I’m hopeful of the other two films because they’re action and more likely to have an older hero.
