I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed this one before, I love it very very much. Kajal Aggarwal is a delight, Ajay is Peak Ajay, and the police uniforms leave nothing to the imagination (the best kind of uniform). Oh, and it’s on Netflix!
If you want to watch an old-fashioned ridiculous and entertaining Masala action film, this is the very best one. Our hero is very very heroic, our villain is very very villainious, and our heroine is all kinds of peppy and confident. And the laws of physics are more like the suggestions of physics. The “vague outlines within which we improvise” of physics. Plus, awesome title song which gives Ajay a hook step even he can manage (gently opening and closing his hands).
Really, watch the opening song and tell me you don’t want to see this movie!
(He’s a bad dancer, but he is very good at confidently striding around with a lot of shoulder movement)
Have you watched the original Tamil series – Singam, Singam II, Singam 3? Better than this Rohit Shetty’s remake.

I watching the first one, very interesting, same plot and almost shot for shot at certain moments, and yet Shetty’s version felt so much lighter and sillier.

I can’t believe I’ve actually seen a current new release before you! Hope you are feeling better soon and can get to the theater to see Simmba. It really is a movie you want to see on the big screen. I had the whole theater to myself when I saw it. One of my favorites of the year for sure.
