Saturday Small Talk: I Got Into My First Fender-Bender, How Is Your Weekend Going?

Happy Saturday! I have a dog, and a busy schedule, and now a dented up car. Blargh!

At least I have the comfort of knowing it could not have been LESS my fault. I was stopped behind a car at a stop sign, and I got rear-ended by the car behind me. So there was nothing I could possibly have done, short of hitting an emergency stilts button so I could climb over the car in front of me before being hit by the car behind me. But still, the hassle! I have to file a claim, wait to have it approved, and meanwhile be driving around in a car with a busted up rear bumper. Blargh!

See how driving is relaxing and joyful for them? It’s because NO ACCIDENT!

Also, I lost the stone from my ring AGAIN. This is the 5th time, it’s just a flawed design, the central semi-precious stone falls out every few years. But this time I made a big deal about how it falls out and they really really have to stick it in. And then it fell out less than 6 months later, and now I have to pay to have that repaired too. I mean, I’ll call the jewelers and be like “Hey! BOZOS! My ring broke!” but I doubt it is under warranty or anything.

I could wander around looking for the stone, but since it is a tiny tiny chip of a stone, I really don’t think it will work, no matter how hot the tour guide is

But I still have a dog! Which makes everything better. Although at the moment I have a very gaseous dog, he is on medicine for a little cough, and it is not agreeing with his digestive track!

    • Yes! Do it! See Gully Boy! I really want to see Luka Chuppi today, but I’m not sure I will be able to with the pupper at home.

  2. Sorry about your fender bender! The good news is that’s the kind of accident where there is zero argument about who is at fault, so hopefully the insurance companies will pay up fast.
