And this is your monthly “tell people about this blog” reminder! I get to see referral data, so I can tell you that my referral’s are very very low. Most of my traffic comes from people randomly googling stuff like “Badla ending explained”. And that’s fine, but it also kind of makes me feel bad that none of my little reader-friends are going out in the world and telling other people about me. Like I am your weird friend who is okay to hang out with at her house, but at school you pretend you don’t know me.
Or, you know, don’t. But why wouldn’t you? If you like what I am writing and you think more people should read it, why not tell them about me? Especially because it makes me feel sooooooooooo good.
And, conversely, people not talking about me out in the world makes me feel like a tiny piece of garbage. So that’s fun!
`
“tiny piece of garbage” — my goodness! We need to avoid that.

The reason I joined your blog was that I read your book and loved it. You write just like I do and I’m great. So take that to the bank.
As to referrals: I do tend to involve my friends in my various interests. Most of them are in my writers group and when I read chapters of my Bollywood work-in-progress, A Shining Place (after the Millay poem Second Fig) they ask a lot of Indian cinema questions. We’ve had movie nights but, so far, only one gal has kept watching on her own, which far as I can tell, is mostly due to Hrithik. But I haven’t given up.

I actually run an Instagram account (the same as my username) and would love to spread the word about your blog . If you get the chance, check out my page and give me feedback on my content. Your posts are something I refer to regularly in exploring Indian cinema:)

Thank you! And (assuming I successfully used the instagram app on my phone that I downloaded and then forgot about), I did find you in instagram! Very cool collection of thoughts being worked through.

Thanks, I always appreciate links! Although last time I tried, instagram doesn’t allow them (boo! evil instagram!)
