Filmi history: famous actresses really would go out in burkas back in the day so they could see their movies opening day, or just move around the streets unnoticed. But Nutan, brilliant actress, never bothered. She would just shift her walk and expressions in such a way that her own husband could barely recognize her, and roam the streets unnoticed.

In the director’s commentary, Farah talks about how she and Shahrukh really had to work with him because he kept not being EVIL enough for them. They wanted total over the top performance and it took a while, but they got it

They said she was launched at 16, so I assume she eloped with Arjun. Either her family was so terrible she was eager to get away, or she was young and ran off and they have no idea what hwppened to her
