I feel bad with my routine mid-afternoon watchalongs that do not match up at all with European time zones, or Australian, or Japanese. I’ve got a holiday coming up on Monday the 25th, so I could do a bonus watchalong on an international schedule, if anyone is interested.
Okay, let’s see if I did this right:
10am Monday the 25th in Chicago = Early evening in Europe, middle of the night in Japan and Australia
7am Monday the 25th in Chicago = Mid-afternoon in Europe, Late evening Japan and Australia
Midnight Sunday the 24th (because I can sleep in the next day) = Early morning in Europe, mid-afternoon in Japan and Australia
My International Readers! Let me know if you are available at any of these times, and interested in a WatchAlong!
Also, let me know what movie (out of alllllllllllll the movies in the world) you want to watch!
(is it finally time for Street Dancer 3D????)
I could do the 7am Monday Chicago = 9:30pm Monday here (South Australia)
or Midnight Sunday Chicago = 2:30pm Monday here

I would participate if I can!

This is so nice of you, and I’m sorry the only one that really works is 7am Monday, which would be 9 my time. Midnight Sunday would be 2 pm Monday for me, the middle of my working day. (Midnight Sunday means Sunday night, right? Not Saturday night? Most people would use it to mean the former, but I almost missed a plane in Dhaka once because not everyone does and it turns out the employees of Singapore airways all comprise such people).
So, if it’s 7 am I’m in!

Look at that, 7am crawling up the list! We’ll see what the Europeans say.
If only Memorial Day wasn’t a weird American only holiday, you would all have Monday off and could all participate at 2:30 in the afternoon, but I guess not.
I suppose I could also do midnight on Saturday night (your Sunday afternoon). If that works better than 7am Monday for people. I just like doing something festive on a random Monday holiday.

Evenings during the week are kind of hard for me, because I have too much to do after work. But I could make Sunday afternoon. Also, it depends on the movie.

What movie would you watch?

Well, you know how I feel about Street Dancer 3D. I’ve seen very few of the kind of movies everyone knows so if it’s an interesting one not starring anyone I particularly dislike I’ll go for it.

Well that is a challenge for me! I may have to let you go with the timing and choice challenge.

lol anything I’d want to watch is not generally something other people want to watch because it skews too old, wacky, and/or heavy on Govinda for other people, and they’d get scared even if it was a good pick.
I love those gentle romantic comedies from 2014-2017, Tiger, and homoeroticism, anything like that? We could do a Shashi film if people are up for one of those.

Oh! This could finally be my audience for Ohm Shaanti Oshaana! Gentle romance, hot farmer hero, all good.

I started to watch that a while ago but gave up when I couldn’t figure out what the bad guys were doing and why. I’d be willing to give it another shot though.

Wait, which one? Ohm Shaanti Oshaana, or Street Dancer, or what?

I don’t think there are bad people in it? It’s one of those movies with no bad people at all, just romance.

Enough for you to try an early weekday evening/7am Chicago time watch on Monday?

I think that would be in the middle of the afternoon for me, so I’d have to work, sadly. Why do time zones hate me?

The challenge is trying to get Australia, Japan, and Europe all on the same time zone. Forget America, just the three of you are almost impossible.
What was the time that would work for you? mid-afternoon Sunday/midnight Chicago time?

Midnight Chicago on Saturday night/Sunday morning would be late afternoon here. Would work for me!

And would be the worst option for me! Because I have stuff I want to do on Sunday. Hmmm. This is a lot of pressure.

10 am and 7 am your time is the best of time here with the 8 hour time difference.
And yes, Street Dancer 3D sounds perfect!

Since this would be a very limited audience, might be the right time for the specific quality which is Street Dancer

If we do end up watching Street Dancer, I would probably just be commenting about how beautiful Shraddha is. I developed a huge crush on her after that movie, as terrible as it was.
(10am would be fine for me in NJ, normally I’d be working around that time, but they’re still giving us Memorial Day off.)
