Happy Midsommar! Or midwinter in Australia? Is it the shortest day there the same time it’s the longest day here?
I’ll start!
Reading: Information on how much to water my garden! Surprise, there’s no simple answer. I look up “marigolds” and I get one place that says an inch a day and another that says an inch a week. And then it’s pots versus ground and rain versus watering and BLECH.
Watching: I’m binging Grantchester, the Sexy Tormented 1950s Vicar BBC villages murder show. Versus, you know, every other of the ten million BBC villages murder shows. Anyway, I like the new Sexy Tormented Vicar way more than the original Sexy Tormented Vicar. You can be tormented without being a narcassist.
Thinking: Next week, I am an aunt! I mean, I’m currently an aunt, but it’s a lot easier to be an aunt from the other side of the country versus in the same house. I am expecting little sleep and lot of activity.
Listening: Looks like we are watching Jaanwar on Saturday, yaaaaay! So I’ve been thinking about “Mere Sapno Ki Rajkumar”, my favorite song from the soundtrack
Now, question for you!!! What, if anything, do you do for midsommar?
I just get irritable. Days shouldn’t be this long! It’s not right!

Yeah, the informations about watering the plants are stupid. Once I almost killed all my cactuses because instead of just believe myself I believed some random article in the internet.
Watching : nothing Indian unfortunately. I saw that Writer Padmabushan is now on eintusan, but I don’t have time to watch it because I’m obsessed with Avenida Brasil. The last 20 episodes were crazy and so engaging. I have still 4 or 5 to watch. I should focus on cleaning my house , because I’m going to Poland this Saturday, but I can’t stop watching the series. Please keep your fingers crossed everything will go well.

Yes it would’ve been the longest night in Australia. I am at a loss for what to watch – I ended my Hulu subscription and still haven’t subscribed to Britbox. Wanted to see if I can get by with Amazon prime only for a while.
Are you going to be living with the new baby? Yes that can be a lot, please take care.
I’ve been watching Madhuri’s old dance songs and YouTube recipes. I love her 😆
Can’t wait for the week to end, work has been madly busy. And last weekend I went on a date and met another woman from my dance class- I ended up with no energy to clean or cook as I needed to do so much self care before and after the date. After the Sunday date i also have been on the phone with this guy… But he’s away for a week so I’m hoping to catch-up on house work.
In other news, I’ve been fighting a lot of pain so I started to see a physical therapist… I wish it helps and quickly – endometriosis is no fun. 12 months after surgery my pain is escalating again, maybe because of not having therapy after surgery and the scar tissue etc. Ok I needed to put this out there in this safe space with some other women. ♥️

Ugh, endometriosis is the WORST. I wonder if you ended up with the same center as a friend of mine? She had crazy problems for years and everyone was just “this is normal” until she finally got a referral to a Bay Area specialist who said “this is not normal, we need to fix it”.
On the other hand, I really like the word “endometriosis”. It kind of feels like “parampara” in terms of powerful syllables that roll off the tongue.

I got treatment in Australia and literally I had to self diagnose and decide to have surgery because nothing much showed on scans. And in surgery it turned out to be stage 4 Endo. If I had delayed surgery it probably would have gotten so much worse. I am still recovering…….

Wishing you health and healing! I too have been dealing with pains for a while and the scans haven’t shown anything much. I’m worried to know that serious things don’t show up on scans? That’s scary!

Ugh, my gyno is sending me for a ultrasound in a few weeks. Just routine to confirm some stuff, but I hate the idea of scans and tests. And if stuff can be missed? What’s even the point?!?!

The ultrasound is so unpleasant. Hope yours goes well

Endometriosis can only be diagnosed via surgery. I decided to go for it eventually so at least I know where things stand. They were bad and the surgeon suspected I guess and had booked two hours in the OR, it went a bit over time

I am at that stage where I’m doing my own research and not just relying on doctors. Feel free to decline, but would you mind sharing what symptoms you went through in your journey? I can request Margaret to share my email with you if that is more comfortable. Thanks to you I’ve started thinking on a different track already.

Yes definitely. Also very useful to join some Facebook groups. I joined them after surgery but I swear they have the best information. I’m happy to talk to you and share. There’s a show in Australia called Insight. I watched the Endo episode on it in 2018 and went – I have that!

Tomorrow, Kangana’s first movie as a producer , Tiku Weds Sheru, will be available on Amazon Prime and I can’t stop thinking about it, because it looks like a total disaster. From the title to the cast and the trailer, nothing works for me. But the worst part is Nawazuddin. After having read some news about his affairs, I can’t stand him, so I think I won’t be able to watch more than 10 minutes of this movie.

What news about his affairs? I want to know more! Kangana = 🤮 for me

Kangana now acts like she is the first actress to produce a movie
I just can’t with her.
And today the first reviews came out and even the “critic” who always supports Kangana said the movie is unwatchable. Of course immediately a lot of people started tweeting how the bad reviews are paid by bollywood mafia etc.
And for Nawaz:

Thank you for that link. It reminds me of all the reasons I left India and cut off my family and I’m not even from a dalit background or in the film industry. I’m curious about the reference to Nandita Das and Kavita Krishnan comment in that post too.
With this, I’m even more sure of my I love SRK. ♥️
