It’s Jawan! It is also very VERY long. I could do it at 7am Chicago time on Sunday if anyone else is free and interested.

All That Heaven Allows

Angie and Popka have been chatting about it, I’ve never watched it somehow although I’ve seen other Sirk films. I am totally down for watching over the top romantic melodrama in gorgeous colors and clothes! And it’s short (comparatively) so I could do it Saturday or Sunday morning.

What’s Cooking?

It’s a Gurinder Chadha movie! Right before Bend it Like Beckham, after Mississippi Masala and Bhaji on the Beach. It’s one of her few films to not deal with the South Asian diaspora, but it’s the same themes of family, culture within culture, complex loving relationships, and so on. And it is the Ultimate Thanksgiving Movie. I just love it. Oh, and I could do Saturday or Sunday morning for this one.
