I just learned through an Anil Kapoor interview that Rhea’s made another female friendship movie! I love her female friendship movies! But I would rather watch them with an actual group of friends, so I am hoping I can coordinate a watchalong.

I would avoid it, but it got surprisingly good reviews! Plus, the cast is amazing, and I trust Rhea Kapoor. So, who wants to watch with me??? And are you available Saturday or Sunday morning?

So, I watched this movie weeks ago and honestly wasn’t a fan. It started off fine and then got derailed and landed meh okay.
As a female friendship comedy, I personally would recommend Sukhee over this movie which IMO has all the same elements but is so much better!
Either way, whatever everyone decides, I’ll do my best to join. Right now, anytime after 7:30 pm ET / 6:30 pm CT works best for me but might not be the best time for others.
P.S. I miss you all and looking forward to a watchalong or Zoom session soon!

And also, yes, it’s shocking that I did not like this movie. I generally really enjoy female friendship sex comedies and went into it with my hopes high. And I adore Rhea! The only thing I can think of is that Rhea didn’t control the narrative as much as she normally would because she wanted her husband to do his thing for his directional debut.
The overall premise and the concept is great so I can see the outline for a really wonderful movie. But the execution and details is where I think it got derailed. I won’t spoil it but will jump in with my spoiler comments on the watchalong post even if I can’t watch it with you!

to be honest, Bhumika Pednekar deserves to be a bit more choosy with her roles, this is seriously lame! Loosely based on the topic “orgasm” is a topic worth making a film about, but this one is pure ordinary!
