This is a long shot, but I never get enough audience members, so I might as well see if I can drum up any business here!
I am the India chair for the Midwest Popular Culture Association, our annual conference is next weekend(October 6th-9th) in Rosemount, just outside Chicago near O’Hare. I’ve organized a lovely panel on Indian popular culture for Sunday afternoon, as I have for the past few years, and I am already dreading no one attending, because no one ever comes to the India talk.
So if you are in the area and are interested, stop by! Here is the link to the website for more info: http://mpcaaca.org/info/conference/
Oh, don’t I wish! But I did get my proposal for the national PCA submitted by the deadline. (Not Indian film-related; just my same-old-same-old fashion and gender thing.)

I wish I could see you at PCA! The one time I was able to present, it was a really fun conference. But unless they come back to Chicago, I don’t think I can get the time off work. See if you can start a whisper campaign to make them come back here next year!
