First song! Which is kind of “ho-hum” based on what we have seen. But still something fun and festive to talk about!
Here it is, you get to watch Amitabh and Aamir (two people who are not natural dancers but try their best) dance together:
It’s your standard “dancing in a cave/bar” kind of song. Random dancing girls, random dancing drinkers, and our two leads leading the chorus. I like that the choreography is having some fun with the height difference, but otherwise it’s not really THAT inspired.
The music itself is kind of ho-hum for me. Ajay-Atul did it, they have been around forever (did Viruddh and Wah! Life To Aise Hai! back in 2005) but are suddenly hitting it big this year, they are doing Thugs and Zero and Panipat and a whole bunch of other big name films. I can’t know for sure just based on the little bit we get of the song hear, but it doesn’t SOUND super impressive and memorable. Not the kind of thing I would expect from composers who are working on every big film of the year.
Not that it has to be super impressive and memorable, this is the bar-dance song, it’s about Aamir and Amitabh interacting, not about the music. I can wait until the love song or the fight song comes out if I am looking for something super impressive.
Anyway, that’s what I think. What do you think?
I like Aamir’s look. Hobbit-like.

The song is mediocre and I’m getting vibes of flop from this entire project. I’ll still go see it but this may turn out to be Aamir’s first big failure in years.

Don’t underestimate the power of the holiday weekend! “Mediocre” is sometimes what you need when you have to entertain 20 family members at once.

Oh good, it’s not just me thinking it is pretty lame! Same composers as Agneepath, so I am holding out a little hope because I remember being unimpressed by those songs in the trailer, and then they worked in context within the film.

I only liked the Ganesha song from Agneepath .I found the rest of the songs boring.

Yeah, I never really listen to the Agneepath soundtrack, but I really enjoy watching the songs.
