Challenge 3b – Name 3 actresses from Telugu cinema who launched at age 25 or older
Seems to be very tough – not one name on top of my mind – may have to research. Shruti Hassan could be close – checked online, she debuted at 23

Oh dear, don’t know what it says that this is the one impossible question. Not quite fair to pick on Telugu, but I think in Hindi it just isn’t as common. Although that could also be because Hindi takes more actresses from other industries. Off the top of my head, there’s Vidya, Taapsee, Bhumi.

Tapsee debuted at age 23 in Telugu-according to Wikipedia. I got one for Telugu actress- Shobita Dulipala in Goodachari at age 26. Yesssss!

I don’t know, Nithya definitely played a village girl in a Telugu movie, S/O Satyamurthy.

Ha! Of course she was. Nithya was a Tamil village girl in the Vijay movie too. But not in any Malayalam films.
Oh another challenge -popular Malayali actresses who haven’t worked in other languages.I can only think of Manju Warrier.

Shoot, I was thinking that would be an easy challenge and then I remembered how much cross-over there is Malayalam to Tamil. Rima Kallingal maybe?

Oh this is hard!!!!! I’ll leave others to answer it, only saying that 3. I vote for Dev Anand and Anu Aggarwal in Return of Jewel Thief: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZw5pzG_Ghg

Oh, I forgot evergreen Dev 🙂
ROJT – Dev was 73, Anu 27 – A gap of 46!
Nishabd – AB was 64 while Jiah Khan was 18/19 – so 45-46 close!
But, I would give a mind blowing trivia (if not already known) –
Sridevi at 9, acted as grand-daughter to NTR at 49 in a 1972 movie. Then 7 years later, she at 16, he at 56 danced to a sensuous rain song in a 1979 movie –

I don’t know if that is a sign of how long NTR kept acting, or how young Sridevi was as an early heroine, but it is something all right!
