Another life update! It’s weird doing these, but it’s a little better than just putting up an announcement “sorry, no new posts” over and over again. I mean, it essentially is just saying “no new posts”, but with a little bit of entertaining life details.
So, I slept off and on for about ten hours in my parents’ guest room (woke up a few times to take more Advil), then got up and let my Dad make me breakfast (stir fry black beans and veggies with turmeric and ginger and garlic seasoning). And let my Mom sit on the couch with me for about 5 hours while we talked about life, family, future, etc. etc. (Dad bailed after about 45 minutes).
Finally in late afternoon, Dad drove me and Dog Hazel back over to my apartment, along with a whole bag of parental provided groceries ranging from orange juice to Oreos. And I took a nice long shower and went “ahhhhhh, home!”
And now I am feeling tentatively better and considering, after dinner, maybe trying to watch Koffee and take notes so I can put up a review tomorrow.
Sounds like a perfect day if you hadn’t been sick. Your parents are an absolute delight. It reminds me how much I miss mine. Glad you’re feeling better, (even if only tentatively. 🙂

I am so lucky to have my parents so close by. This is not the first time I have been sick enough that I ended up in their guest room.
