You can skip this if you don’t want/need a regular bloggy type report on me. But if you are curious, or are so desperate for entertainment that you are willing to read it (because there won’t be anything else new going up for a while), you can.
Yeah, it wasn’t great. Took decongestants right before I got on the plane and the take off wasn’t bad. But they had worn off by the landing and it was murder. And then they didn’t have a runway for us so we were just circling. And then we ran out of fuel so we had to go to a whole different airport (rapid up, and rapid down) to get more fuel. So that was 51 minutes of pure agony. And then we landed at the other airport and they let in fresh air flow and my ears went “aaahhhh”, and I went “I am taking another decongestant and I don’t care what happens.”
And then we took off again, and then finally landed at the airport we were supposed to land at, and it wasn’t that bad, just a few twinges. But by then all the pills were reacting with each other and I was feeling super airsick and headachey and generally weird.
Anyway, upshot is, my Dad was at the airport planning to just give me a ride to my apartment, but after two hours of misery, instead he scooped me up and took me back to my parents’ place and my Mom made my bed and gave me chicken soup and now I am lying in between nice cool sheets in a nice stationary bed feeling the blood pulse in my eardrums and generally being extremely grateful to be taken care of.
And I may not be able to drag myself out to see Simmba tomorrow after all.
