Few views of my Rajiv Menon reposts and new review, don’t care, the movies are so good they make me feel good. And in the same spirit, I am pushing City of God on you all again. SO GOOD.
Warning, this is not an easy watch. You really really have to concentrate on it. It jumps between multiple storylines and backwards and forwards in time, but it is super beautiful if you focus and follow it.
Okay, maybe only 3% of the people who read DCIB will watch it on my recommendation. And maybe only 10% of those people will like the movie the way I did. But it is worth it if I can introduce it to that one new person, because it is such a beautiful movie.

I would say “well, not really “fun”” if you were someone else. But you are my Bengali film watcher! Yes, totally fun for you! It’s all about unspoken emotions and long looks and missed connections. And a couple of great fight scenes, just for kicks.
