Happy Pi Day! One of my co-workers made and brought in three separate pies, apple and banana cream and key lime. (and if you don’t know about this holiday, it is because today is March 14, or “3/14” or “3.14” as in “Pi”)
Starting with Shahrukh, because he is easy. Chocolate with chili powder, “hot chocolate” cream pie. You bit in and it is creamy and sweet and a little bitter, and then POW, the chili spice after taste hits you and all the other flavors become that much richer.
Madhuri! I already figured this out for my Thanksgiving post, she is clearly apple pie with whipped cream.
Shepherd’s pie, big and meaty and filling and kind of low-class with no interesting in style or surfaces…Prabhas, obviously.
Cherry pie, sometimes too sweet and simple, but delicious when prepared correctly, Alia!
Strawberry-Rhubarb (my favorite) sweet and tart at the same time, simple and natural and classic but also complex, Kajol!
Key Lime pie, very cool and a little tart and tropical….Jacqueline Fernandez
Banana Cream Pie, way too sweet and soft, always available and yet no one really wants it, works best when thrown around by other people rather than as an actual taste on its own…Shraddha!
Mango pie, desi twist on a western classic, the best of both, not a good idea at first glance but eventually perfected into something wonderful…Katrina Kaif!
Strawberry cream, the sweeter, cheaper, less natural option. Looks great, but maybe doesn’t taste great. Sonam
Pie for Dogs! Albie Dog, Mr. Albus Baxter Barkeridge
Which pie is your favorite?
Which pie spirit person/animal is your favorite?
This holiday doesn’t have much sense for me, but I love pies so maybe I can celebrate it next year π

I just realized, it only works in America, because we are the only ones who write the date that way (I think). Everywhere else it is just 14.3.19, which is nothing.

Oh, I like the idea of “pi”…and okay, if you like to combine it with “pie”…but I prefer the ice cream flavours… π

Do you concur with Shahrukh as the hot chocolate cream?

Also Aamir’s birthday and look what he announced. I’m not excited tbh because I hate Forrest Gump but then I read that Atul Kulkarni wrote the screenplay and that’s pretty cool.
Too bad Aamir’s Osho project got killed, that would be a lot more interesting.

I CAN’T BELIEVE I FORGOT AAMIR’S BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I am a terrible person. I have to dig through my archives and find his annual birthday post and repost it.
What do you think I should review for Aamir for Friday Classics tomorrow?

Um, if I’m being selfish I vote for Raja Hindustani but if you want to go for something a bit less well known, how about Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin?

Raja Hindustani I could do. Or Sarfarosh, just to shame you into watching it.

Hahahaha that would be fine by me and I’d have an incentive since I’d have to watch the film so I’m not spoiled by your review.
Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin is super cute and Pooja is great in it. You should watch, it is very undemanding and you could be cleaning your apartment or whatever while it’s playing.

Glad I’m not the only one who dislikes Forest Gump. All the stories in the world and he decides on a boring old remake. Blah!
Not only that, I have a strong feeling this is going to use the going through time theme to turn this into a patriotism movie. I can’t handle any more of those.

Ugh. This sounds terrible. A Piku kind of role that brings out his worst tics plus patriotic history survey. No no no. Pity the actress who gets the Robin Wright role.

Also very strange since Salman Khan’s Bharat will already have a lot of the same appeal, one character taking us through Indian history decades at a time. The two films are going to release so close together, comparisons are inevitable.
