Oh, this is hard! This is very very hard! He has so many good ones. I had a hard time even limiting down which to include in this post.
Now, I am NOT necessarily saying “best dancing”. As a whole artistic thing, music and dancing and camera work and editing and costumes and all that, which of these is the best?

Personally, my love for “Tu Hai Meri” knows no bounds. But I am willing to be convinced I am wrong and one of the other songs is the true top choice! Or one I didn’t even list here.

Excellent reasons all around! And in Aish, Hrithik has a partner who is a good match for him both in dancing and in looks.

Ek Pal Ka Jeena – that’s the iconic song of his career. He was also good in Dhoom Again but the song itself (musically) is nothing too great.
I’m not actually that interested in his dancing. I don’t know if I’ll come off too conservative or what but men dancing is an iffy thing. If the dancing is too good, it starts looking feminine and it gives off very gayish vibes. I’m sure there are enough people that like it but it’s not my thing. It’s the same reason I don’t really like Tiger’s dancing either. Maybe the industry needs newer choreographers where they can make the men dance well while still looking manly. I don’t know if I’m explaining it correctly. It’s the styling too. Sometimes the clothes are so repulsive!! I don’t think I’ve seen worse costumes than the ones Tiger usually wears. It’s the same reason I hate Dard-e-disco. I’ve never once thought it was the slightest bit sexy. Gross is more like it. That oily body, the jeans with the button open.. yuck.

I think I can see what you are saying. There’s some basic physical differences between how men and women move, simple stuff like the male center of gravity is in the shoulders and the female is in the hips. If a dance leans into that, puts in a lot of shoulder and arm moves for the men, it can come of as extremely masculine to me. The Holi song from Mohabettein, for instance, I love all the throwing and drumming gestures, combined with the sort of marching style of footwork, in contrast to all the hip movements from the women.
Hrithik is amazing with the graceful movements, the bending and waving kind of moves. Very different.

Huh, this is interesting because I have what I consider to be pretty finely-tuned gaydar and I’ve never had any pings from Hrithik ever. I know what you mean about some men who put out gay signals so hard that it’s hard for a straight woman to insert herself in there because it’s so clear that the signaling is not aimed at her. But I’ve never had that with Hrithik. He’s pretty straight, I’d even say more straight than Akshay Kumar who if you told me he was bisexual or had experimented back in college I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
I wonder if the reason why I think Hrithikreads straight to me is because he seems to be very sincere. He’s never got a wink nudge going for the camera. It’s always straight down the line even if he’s gelled his hair to heaven and is wearing eyeliner and shredded clothes and oiled his chest.

Akshay and Ajay Devgan (and Bruce Willis) all read to me as that kind of “so manly and so sexy that they could totally be Bi” thing. Do you know what I mean? Like, there is so much sexy, it can’t be contained by one gender.
On the other hand, Hrithik reads to me the same way you describe.

I love Dhoom Again. The amount of cheers he got for that in the theatre was unbelievable. I also really like Ek Pal ka jeena, was a huge rage and also because that signature step is unforgettable.

Dhoom Again was also brilliantly placed within the film. There’s a big action sequence, and then BAM, Song! Exactly right for the audience to be riled up and ready to cheer. And intruducing Hrithik’s character with a big song number was perfect too. I love “Tu Hai Meri” of course, but it is kind of late in the film for his big dance number, it could have gotten more reactions and more excitement if it was somehow placed right after the opening action scene.

Oh, that was good, but there was too much standing and staring versus actual dancing for me. And the color tone was kind of blah. I still prefer “Tu Hai Meri”.

Bumbro!!! Have you seen Mission Kashmir? Any chance you will review it? After watching KNPH on repeat, MK was the next movie my sister and I would watch non-stop because tortured Hrithik is so yummy to watch and Preity is such a good foil to his character in MK.

I have seen Mission Kashmir, and agree about tortured Hrithik. But the politics of that film! So complicated and weird!
Still love Bumbro though. And you HAVE to watch Notebook, they do a remix of Bumbro that I think I like even better than this one.
