Sick Day Report! I Got a Chicken Delivered

I get to go to bed in 2 hours, woo-hoo. But I had a nice productive sick day, lots of sitting on the couch and not getting dressed. And a few exciting incidents.

Awake until 4am, watching TV and trying to breath through my nose. Then two hours of sleep, and up again. I had a work call scheduled first thing so I decided to walk the dog and then do the drive through at the Dunkin’ Donuts a couple blocks away and get a massive iced coffee.

I should have just watched this song for help breathing

So get the car, drive through the one way streets, turn a corner, and discover there is a massive dump truck blocking the end of the one way street. And then a car pulled out of a parking space ahead of me and started rapidly reversing towards the next intersection. So, okay, I start reversing too, going back a good 2/3rds of a block in reverse. And I keep getting out of straight and having to stop and straighten and start again. The driver ahead of me finally put his car in park and came over and offered to just drive my car free for me so he could get out. Which is insane and unsafe and all kinds of things, but also I was very sick and sleep-deprived. So I gave him the keys and ran after the car while he backed up and positioned me back in the intersection. And then I drove to Dunkin’ with only minimal additional excitement, got breakfast and returned home to do an hour long conference call.

It was like this, but not

After that, sofa, TV, liquids, dog was bored. I have no food, so I was going to order delivery and then I discovered that you can get groceries delivered! Like a Queen! So I got a fresh roasted chicken delivered, along with onion and garlic and ginger and made myself chicken soup from scratch.

Notice, in this song, Ramya never goes to the grocery store or lugs food up several flights to her kitchen. Queendom!

At five a friend came by to walk the dog with me and make sure I was alive, and now I am having my soup dinner, then I am going take a long hot bath and then go to bed super early.

A bath! Like a Princess!

Question, after this long day of sickness and sickness related activities, Is Ratna Pathak or Kirron Kher a better option for Dorothy from the Golden Girls?

And now I’m off to the bathtub with The Golden Girls!
