Lunching at hotels. I see this often in Hindi films. I myself have had tea at the Ritz, and maybe had a meal at one other hotel in S.F., but I never think to eat at hotels unless I’m staying there. Are hotels big restaurants in India, or is it simply easy to reserve one for filmakers?

I think they are big restaurants. You also hear in dialogue people syaing they are going to eat at a hotel.
