Watch Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Right Here in Half an Hour!!!!

I may have totally messed this up by scheduling it very last minute, and then moving the start time an hour and a half earlier, and scheduling it on a half hour just to confuse people. But I hope this post helps. The conversation will be here, in the comments on this post, in half an hour (10:30pm Chicago time). Hope to see you here!

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai! Watch it on Netflix, or youtube, or googleplay, or Prime in some places. Or on your DVD. Start playing at 10:30pm Chicago time and I will start commenting then.

I’m excited! This will be like the first time I watched it, on my laptop in my dorm room after my roommate had gone home for the weekend, late late on a Saturday night.

  1. I actually happen to still be awake, but I’ll probably have to disappear before anything exciting happens because sleep.

  2. Such a weird opening! They were totally counting on people coming in to the theater late and not being turned off by Beginning of Death.

  3. Okay, the big where the camera goes overhead and he embraces her, EVERY TIME I get distracted thinking what a good angle that is for his back. He often falls pray to pudgy-back or skinny-back, but this is just perfect.

  4. New Little Anjali theory: everyone I know who first watched this as a little girl loves her, and I hate her. Maybe she is a little girl designed to appeal to little kids instead of a little kid designed to appeal to adults like most little kids in movies? Anyway, I still hate her, but can acknowledge that children like her.

  5. I am so distracted by the non-synch-ness of the dialogue! Somehow SRK sounds very sound studio to me. But whatever, I love the loose tie

  6. I love the 90s so much. The music, the glowing light, the “one love” dialogue, and Shahrukh’s eyebrows are all SO MUCH. It’s like eating a jalabi and I love it

  7. Rani does a really good job with this voice over in her third movie! It already sounds distinctly “Rani” to me, and it fits with the words and characters and all kinds of good things.

  8. The first time I watched this movie, I was convinced they must have stopped filming for 6 months so Kajol could grow her hair back for the second half.

I still kind of believe that, even though I know a wig is far FAR more likely

  9. This scene also would be so much better if they weren’t ad libbing so much and adding unnecessary extra dialogue.

    Am I complaining too much?

    • No, just the right amount. Anyway, you are the Little Anjali Liker, so you have to make up for it by hating other stuff.
