That song was so great, but unfortunately sets expectations the movie cannot fulfill. I will never understand why he didn’t just end up with Hema in that one. That would be more in line with his image and also that might have been an actual story.

Rewatching this, I also think he would be great in old fashioned wandering through gardens songs, like Shashi.

If instead of Hema it had been Juhi, that would absolutely have worked. But Hema was too old for the role anyway, which added another layer of oddness. She was supposed to be playing the mother of a 20-somehting, but she looked like the 70 year old she is. Didn’t make sense.
