I’m really pretty open this week, my mind is a blank. Chaahat for Ramya, or I because it is PERFECT for snarking, both are ones I’ve been thinking about for a while. But I don’t have any particular loyalty to them.
Chaahat
Totally fun silly old SRK movie, amazing action scene at the end, Ramya Krishnan and Naseerji are the juiciest villain crew you could ever want. It gets a little draggy and dull sometimes to me, and it is very 90s, but fun! And it’s Ramya’s birthday week! Oh, and it’s on Netflix and youtube rent and stuff.
I (Tamil)
The movie is titled the-letter-i, which is impossible to search for or make people understand or anything. It’s also transphobic and stalkery and INSANE. But mostly INSANE. Like, has to be seen to be believed. And the songs are beautiful. And it’s on Prime.
Well, I imagine at this point you can imagine which I’d choose. Sanity is overrated.

So, one vote for Insane Tamil Movie?

Yea, I’m in the mood for some crazy stuff. “I” it is. It’s on einthusan as well, so I can watch it since it isn’t on Prime here.

I am so sorry I missed Sita Sings the Blues. My Friday evening got completely high jacked my family last week. But I watched it on Saturday and followed along with the comments. My preference would be Chaahat. Other movie for Ramya Krishnan’s bday could be Khalnayak.
Also, other movie suggestions: Dil Hai Ki Mamta Nahin; I thought if it because of Pooja Bhatt and she is just so cute in it. And also Prem Deewane – it has both Pooja and Madhuri.
Other movie that was just recommended to me by my sister as really fun but gets really really looney tooney in the last 30 minutes and also had gorgeous Shashi is Ek Shriman Ek Shrimati.

I forgive you for skipping Sita! Since you watched it on your own later, everyone should see that movie!
Okay, one vote for Chaahat! Although you are heavily outweighed by the “bonkers Tamil movie” vote so far.

ESES really is extremely wackadoodle, but on the other hand the total insanity of the end is the only thing that makes it worth it, because I recall the rest of it being nothing but annoying stalking romance nonsense that I could barely get through. Really you should watch the first and last half hours.

If I have my druthers I wont be able to attend as my family will be driving to a state park in Nevada with awesome fossils where you are still allowed to use camp stoves. But I might not have my druthers as spouse wants to leave Saturday. We’ll see.

I kinda like Chahaat despite its total lack of chemistry, and I’m curious about the crazy Tamil film. I would like either.

Even if I have my druthers, if I get everything packed I would most likely be able to catch at least the first hour or two with everyone. But I’m gonna have to start packing tomorrow…

Oh, just make the kids do all the packing! There’s three of them and one of you, it should be a lot faster.

I usually make the kids pack their own clothes, but if I don’t double check one child won’t have any underwear while another will have forgotten pants. But when it come to camping gear, we would be in trouble if one picked up the two person tent instead of the six. ANd all we would be eating was marshmallows, raw, because no western state is allowing campfires right now…
