Should We Do Valentine’s Week of Sex Again This Year, or Is There a Better Theme?

Valentine’s Week of SRK? Valentine’s Week of Un-Romance films? Valentine’s Week of Queer Relationships? Or just same old Valentine’s Week of Sex?

I did “Valentine’s Week of Rom-Coms” a few years in a row, reposted some reviews and wrote a few new ones, it was fun. And then last year I wanted to shake thing sup and asked for suggestions, then ignored all of them when I had the BRILLIANT theme week idea of “Valentine’s Week of Sex”.

I did thought posts on what “virginity” and “sex” means, I did posts on “what is sexiest love song”, I did posts on “which character would you most want to have sex with”, it was FUN!!!!

But now the question is, should I do Sex again this year? Or should we shake things up again?

I mean, Sex is Good, and Fun, and Solves Everything, but is there something better?

    • The thing is, I think I have reviewed every rom-com I have seen. And I don’t particularly want to commit or force myself to watch new movies I may not be in the mood for. Hmm.

  1. Last year Valentine’s Day was before we all locked down, so…I know we’re all sick of this by now but you haven’t done a quarantine VD, and hopefully this will be your only chance. Love stories where the obstacle is something preventing the lovers from being physically in the same place at the same time. Love stories where the lovers are locked together in isolation from the rest of the world. Love stories where love is a refugee from the scary outside world. So many possibilities, surely!

  2. Love, sex, obstacles, it’s all good. Maybe you could write a series like Mismatched, Bhaag Beanie Bhaag, Pushpavalli, etc. Part 1 on Monday, Part 2 Tuesday and so on.We could put our two cents in as you go along.

  3. What about theme of the rare secure love in Indian cinema this valentine? Like you know the love sans those butterflies Indian cinema has always given us. The kind of real, secure and love relationships . Also, how this kind of love is largely kind of boring and routine but it’s healthy, the thing Bollywood tells us very less.
