Hey, Adi’s birthday! Coming up tomorrow! We should celebrate! We should also put opinions on the Friday watchalong scheduling post from yesterday because no one has yet!
In chronological order:
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
Romantic, youthful, a bit silly sometimes, very nostalgic

Mohabbatein
Impossible to spell title, Amitabh re-invention, Aishwarya looking pretty

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
Small story, small film, big heart

Befikre
Odd film, perfectly made for what it is, but very unusual

My rankings, best to worst:
DDLJ
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
Befikre
Mohabbatein
Anyone disagree?
Mohabbatein is worst. Truly.

Befikre is such a weird one even in this 4 movie filmography. The other 3 are cut from the same cloth and Befikre is not even from the same factory.
I watched Befikre on opening weekend and didn’t hate it but it literally vanished from my memory the moment I left the theater.
I think Adi needs his own Kabhi Kabhie soon, a movie with stars from different generations all telling a grand romantic tale across them.
