Yes! I am playing the grief card! Again! Oh, but Genevieve, if your birthday kid wants to pick for his week, let me know exactly when it is. I remember it is around Christmas.
Okay, EVA! I am going to give 5 options, you get to pick between them. Not to simul-watch with us, but something you would enjoy reading the comments later:
Single All the Way: Heartwarming Family Christmas Gay Rom-Com
I watched this already and it is WONDERFUL. A really pleasant loving family Christmas rom-com, that just happens to feather a male-male-male love triangle at the center of it. Oh, and it’s on Netflix, so everyone should be able to watch it.
Dangal: Heartwarming Family Movie
We all love Dangal, right? Awesome heroines, great wrestling scenes, Aamir being less message-y than usual. And it has that Christmas movie vibe, without actually being a Christmas movie.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara: Katrina Celebration!!!
One of her all time best roles, she is just glowing in it, and the Hrithik-Kat storyline is the heart of the film. Also, sunshine! In December!
Love Per Square Foot: Vicky Celebration!
I have to admit, I have never watched this. But everyone who has watched it, looooooooooooooves it. And Vicky!
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha: Always always always good
It’s Family, it’s Warm, it’s Loving, we can all plot how we would kill Grandma, Source of All Evil.
Okay Eva!!!! YOUR CHOICE!!!! And remember (and I suspect this is hard for you), BE SELFISH!!!!!! Out of these 5, which is the one you really REALLY want us to watch, not the one you think we want to watch?
You know what, the gay guys really do look heartwarming. I’m not sure I’d be into watching them myself, but maybe if you all seem to really enjoy them, you can convince me to give them a try.
But you are supposed to be SELFISH!!!!! Which out of these do you want us to watch SELFISHLY for yourself?

That’s actually my selfish choice. I get to use you all as test subjects.
Done! Oh goodie, I really liked it.

Fab de fab, l have not watched it yet in case it became a watch-along!
The 12 year old turns 13 Saturday. The 6 year old turns 7 next Wednesday. The 9 year old turns 10 the day after Christmas. The 12 year old would always choose Don 2. The six year old’s favorites are Main Hoon Na, KKHH, and One2Ka4. The 9 year old loves Bang Bang and right now is the only one willing to look at something he is not already familiar with. He’s also the one that makes me use ages instead of names, and yet he loves/hates when I mention him in comments during watch-a-longs. But they all don’t like waking up before 7 CA time on Saturdays and on Friday afternoons they are always playing outside with friends so they don’t get to pick watch-a-long movies. I keep thinking about Filmikudhi as their birthdays approach. Sagittarius kids are really fun, super social and excited to do things. Of course maybe it is a genetic personality trait and has nothing to do with star signs, but then maybe not…
Looking forward to gay romcoms!
Wait, so by January, you will be going from having one big boy and 2 little boys, to one teenager and one little boy and one big boy? That’s such a LEAP!!!!
Speaking of, I am totally willing to let you pick Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in honor of having given birth to three boys in a two week period.
Oh, and for gay romcoms, is Saturday or Friday afternoon better for you? Especially since you have a BIRTHDAY.

Saturday mornings are always easier for me, but I should be able to pop in no matter what. I might start putting the kids on the bus come 2022 – so then my Fridays should clear up!
Yes! Bus! Good for their socialization and (more importantly), yours!
