It’s Jackie’s Birthday Week! So we need to watch a Jackie movie on Saturday morning, right? And there are a handful I have considered that we have never watched together. And probably others out there I don’t even know about.
Bigil
Silly over the top Chak De India ripoff with a Jackie Shroff naked scene (he’s the villain).

Dhoom 3
Chicago! Looking great! And a Jackie cameo at the opening

Saaho
This is the stupidest over the toppiest craziest movie and I have been wanting to make it a watchalong for ages.

Bharat
Surprisingly good Salman and Katrina movie! Kat is just glorious in it.

(oh, and it has to be Saturday morning this week, because Albie Dog has a vet appt on Friday afternoon)

I vote Saaho, I haven’t seen it.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! And oh man, it is a GREAT movie for your boys. Except the 10 year old, who might try to make sense of it and that would make his head hurt. It makes my head hurt.

LOL, I could list Jackie Schroff movies all day and never come up with any of these four! I think I can make Saturday this week, in which case one vote for “Bharat.”

I really REALLY wanted to do Hero, but it’s not easily available streaming.

I literally had to run the whole plot of “Dhoom 3” through my mind, trying to think of how he was involved, before I remembered the prologue ( ;

Today is Bobby Deol birthday🎂 Are there any movies with Jackie and Bobby?

Apparently not! I was also thinking Jhoom Barabra Jhoom again for Bobby and Preity, but we just did that last year.

Also, I vote whichever one he is most naked in.

I think that’s Bigil then, but you will have a hard time selling anyone else on that theory!

I obviously meant to post my Jackie movie comment here. I would blame having a 7 week old as my excuse but I really can’t because he slept 10 hours last night!!! He’s setting some high expectation for Baby#2 if and when we have one.
Anyways, to summarize, Saaho from your list but if not, Ram Lakhan because Jackie-Anil are the best pairing after Amitabh-Shashi!!! And there is Madhuri. It’s on Einthusan so not the best but available with subtitles.
Happy Friday everyone!!! Hope Albie has a great vet appointment!

Oooh, it’s been too long since I’ve seen “Ram Lakhan”!

I think I found a solution! All the real classics are still unavailable except on einthusan, but a 1995 Sunny-Jackie movie was just added to Netflix. That would make you happy, right?

Well, it would make /me/ happy and presumably ought also to scratch Filmikudhi’s Jackie-Anil itch. . . uncertain whether he will show enough skin to satisfy Popka. What film is it?

Dushmani! Jackie always shows skin, so I think we can count on some amount of nekkidness.

Dushmani is very Romeo and Juliet. Another dual hero movie with Jackie that’s on Netflix is Aakhri Adalat with Jackie and Vinod Khanna and Dimple!

Also, is it Popka who likes Ranjeet? I saw him in a great outfit recently and know that I was supposed to tell SOMEBODY, but I can’t remember whom.

Definitely seems like a Popka thing! Clothes, muscles, all that stuff.

That seems like someone Popka would like.

And also menacing?! Menace + velour has got to be a top-difficulty combo to pull off.

Oh! “Dushmani” I haven’t seen, but I do know “Aakhri Adaalat” and it’s pretty darn good.
Also, Popka, if you see this you MUST go to about 33:09 in “Raampur Ka Lakshman (1972, link below). The aspect ratio unfortunately squishes him slightly, but good g!d, what a costume.

Ooh! Should I watch Rampur aka Lakshman? I have been on an 80s kick recently and watched Mera Dharam and Dosti Dushmani. I recommend both of these movies if you haven’t seen them.

“Raampur Ka Lakshman” was pleasantly eye-searing and also good fun. Randhir goes to the big city to try and prove that his foster brother Ramesh didn’t do a crime he’s been convicted of. Unfortunately for Ramesh, Randhir is a bit of a dorf, but others are conveniently positioned to assist him (incl. an adorable baby Rekha).
And no, I haven’t seen either of those! Added to the list : D

. . .so I completely lied about that link thing:
