Okay, I have been fantasizing about doing this, and I’m having a really hard time with seasonal affective disorder this week, so we are just DOING it!!!!
Do you know what is available on youtube, in full? The 1987 Chippendales movie “Tall Dark and Handsome”. Now, stay with me, this IS on topic for DCIB!!!! It’s produced and created by a desi (Steve Banerjee), it has music and dance, and I believe it has some sort of vague “plot” as well. And I just really REALLY wanna watch it with y’all. Also, I always fall asleep during Friday watchalongs and I figure this will keep me awake.
The only downside is that it is a bit short, only 70 minutes. I am open to watching it twice in a row (such glory needs full appreciation) so that everyone can see part of it. Or we can just watch it once and then try to process together. Or we can start later, or earlier, than usual.
Also, I am concerned that not everyone will have access. It’s the video called “Tall Dark and Handsome” and it should be about an hour and ten minutes long. Here is the best youtube link that works for me:
What do you think? Are you up for silly, or should we do something responsible like Chamatkar? Shelomit can’t make it this week so I figured it was a good time to go modern.
I’m tempted.

There is a teacher in-service-day, which means my kids don’t have school. So I’m not sure I’ll be home, but if I am, I will watch it! Though, perhaps not on the giant screen. I don’t want to give my kids a complex.
Try 100 jumping jacks before you go on your walks. Getting my heart pounding has been vital to my happiness.

I’ve started doing something similar, partly for Dog Happiness. Albie Dog really likes running a block in the middle of the walk, so if we get an open block in front of us, we will do a fast run and then go back to the usual walking pace.

Oh man, I’m going to watch it, watchalong or not. Weirdly, I could just about make it because it is short.

Yes, aren’t I doing good things by telling you it exists?
