Pakistani WatchAlong Take 2! Which Rom-Com Should We Watch and When?

Happy Thursday! It has been A Week, we couldn’t get the lawnmower started and I had to train a new person at work and all kinds of things. And what I really really want is to just relax and watch a nice brainless rom-com this weekend. Luckily, I still have the list from last week that we couldn’t do because no one was available!

Teefa in Trouble

It’s on Netflix, I love it, it’s totally silly and has great songs written by Ali Zafar himself

Dino Ki Dulhania

On Prime, shorter than Teefa, I haven’t seen it, but classic rom-com plot (man hires actress to pretend to be his fiance and fool his Grandma).

Actor in Law

An actor pretends to be a lawyer, and Om Puri is in it!

Bachaana

On vacation in Mauritius, a bubbly young woman gets caught up in trouble and has to rely on a fast talking cab driver to save her (and they fall in love).

Armaan

Young Fawad Khan is in it

Okay, is anyone available Saturday or Sunday morning? And, if so, which movie do you want to see????

  3. Just gonna comment where I can spread the news. I watched Ponniyin Selvan 2 and its amazing and everyone should watch. Personally, as someone who’s not read the book, I enjoyed the second film far more than the first film.

  4. I’m on vacation in a hotel room with family without decent headphones so I don’t think I can join in. But I saw Bachaana this past week and discovered that the hero divorced his wife to marry the heroine in 2021! So that was fun, though I did not find the movie amazing, it was enjoyable.

  5. Ugh! I’m sorry I have to miss this week also. On my way to the woods of Canada. But I watched Dino ki Dulhaniya and while the hero wasn’t my favorite (he was tolerable), I loved the grandmother. Pakistani films have the best, most kick ass grandmothers!
