Woot! Watchalong! Ive got my coffee, my dog, Im ready to go!
Jaanwar! It’s for rent on youtube, and possibly also free other places and it is soooooooooo good/bad in a very 90s way.
At 8am Chicago time, I will comment “and PLAY” and then we will all go along from there.
In Farah’s commentary on the MHN DVD she talks about how they couldn’t afford to actually destroy a car, so in the action sequences, they just used a little bit of flammable gel and put it around the edges and then cleaned it off after the shot. This movie, apparently has unlimited car destruction budget.

This is my 4th time (at least) watching this film and I still do not understand this scene. She baths in an enchanted glad fed by a sewer pipe?

It is clearly a throwpack to the Mandakini scene from Ram Teri Ganga Maili.

I shouldn’t bodyshame, but it’s too much hair. It’s a distracting amount of hair.

Didn’t we have a contest at one point on who had more hair in the 80s and 90s, Akshay or Anil?

If not, we should have.

We would have to come up with a rigorous rubric. I see extent vs. density being an important question here. . .

oooh good call! Still a tough contest! I don’t know if I have a clear answer to it right now.

TBH the distractingest hair to me so far is Shakti Kapoor’s beard. It didn’t look so weird in the prologue, but as soon as they had to start greying it up in the “now” timeline it looks very fakey. Whereas whatever Akshay’s got going, erm, it’s clearly what nature intended >.>

You can’t get a lot of respect from the community for saving an entertainer that everyone assumes is a prostitute.

I suspect they might have been cussing out the weather they got, but I actually think it’s very cool to have the distance hazy and the next valley over full up with mist. You can really tell how far the vista extends.
