    • It was the social messaging of the film, the idea that if the guy rejects the dowry he looks more cool and maybe he could inspire others to do the same.

But it was kinda heavy handed and unbelievable, unfortunately.

  1. Does anyone notice the change in costuming for her wedding. She wore white which was very different to her personality and for the real one she wears red. It represents the change from demure Sania to fiery Gullu

  2. I have had a rough few weeks and this was exactly what I needed today! Thank you all for making this so much fun! It cheered me up so much!

Maybe I will continue the Pari movie marathon and watch Hasee toh Phasee when Mr. Toddles takes a nap this afternoon!

  3. So much of Pari dancing in the dress didn’t show her feet, and I could tell she was wearing stupid high heels because her body didn’t move right. I’ve taken to thinking of high heels as foot binding light.

      • I blame Indian movies for my dislike of high heels. Traditional Indian dancing is SO SEXY. So now, even when I see people do the same kinda moves in high heels, it just looks wrong to me. Their hips and shoulders aren’t aligned right. I mean, props to humans in that they can dance in these crazy foot get-ups that essentially hobble them, but I would rather see them dance shoeless.
