I’ve downloaded from einthusan, we’ll see if that works better than streaming. But I will probably still be complaining because it is all weird.

Dedicated to Anand Bakshi? Why? That’s so odd.
LikeLike
Because he wrote the lyrics and then died.

He was credited as the lyricist also, so I guess he was working on this film right before he died (2002).

I didn’t know he died! That’s sad.

I’m trying to enjoy the song, but I’m still really annoyed that she lied to her boss and movie portrayed that as “cute”.

Naturally Rani and the adoptive uncle would have a spiritual affinity, based on their similarly gruff voices!

And Rani is a single girl in the city who easily lies if she thinks it will make things better for those around her (like lying to her boss in order to go to a family wedding). Ajay just proposed to Sonali Bendre by building her a house, and she turned him down because he is too much of a dreamer.

Rani is an orphan who craves a family. Ajay is an architect who has big dreams. He impulsively buys a place to build a house for his childhood friend/fiance, Sonali Bendre but she rejects him because he doesn’t have a plan for how he plans to pay for all this.

To judge by films, it seems not uncommon to have housing provided directly by your work in India. But also: comedy movie.

I used to have one of those monkeys and I’m wracking my brains as to what they were called. You would buy them in bookshops and they came with a little informational placard about the species of monkey it was supposed to represent.
