Monday Morning Questions: What Do You Want to Ask Me on Lincoln’s Birthday????

Happy Monday! And Happy Happy HAPPY Lincoln’s Birthday!!!! One of my favorite holidays. Just such a solid dude in so many ways.

Here is where you can ask me anything you want from “why do you like Abraham Lincoln?” to “Have you watched Sangam yet?” Just keep swinging back here all week as you think of new questions!

Now, question for you! Who is your favorite historical figure? Someone you just think was overall a good person, and also you like them?

    • Hmm. “Important” is an interesting qualifier. I think probably Washington is the most important, since he created the role and his decisions set the tone for every president afterwards. But Lincoln is certainly up there in importance!

  1. My favorite historical person is not my favorite because I agree with all their decisions or think they were super duper noble. In fact they might be my favorite because of how human they were, definitely flawed, but so charismatic that the charsima continues through the centuries. And now part of me doesn’t want to tell you who it is, but wonders who can guess which American historical figure is fatally flawed but insanely charismatic?

And in fact the other historical figure I adore, is even MORE flawed. Really really really flawed when one connects them to India. And adore is probably the wrong word, but I just think this person is fascinating. Almost more of a fictional character rather than a real person, except that he was definitely real. He was a drunk, he was probably a misgynist, and his political contributions both saved and destroyed the world order. He was not American.
