These are a bit of the “eat a sandwich!” variety. Not as much as Hrithik photos, but still, he could afford to fatten himself up a bit.
SRK was in Italy and he did a very Italian photo shoot. At least it feels Italian to me, all black and white and sultry and stuff.

In other “me” news, my nephews were in town again for a few days which took up all my time and exhausted me (thus no posting). Why don’t little kids want to EAT? We had to do all these elaborate mind games, leaving food out but not looking at it directly, trying to guess what they would actually consume, and with the 2 year old, actually shoving it in his mouth before he could turn away so he would realize he was hungry. Even though they didn’t seem to eat anything, somehow there is peanut butter everywhere. Also, 2 year olds are very cute when they say “Auntie!” and 5 year olds are very interesting when they try to lie and are terrible at it (“did you throw away your trash?” “Yes” “Did you really?” “No”).
And I’m still looking for a job, although I’ve now reached the point where I’m putting in my notice at my current job whether or not I have something new lined up. So that’s fun and not stressful at all! (sarcasm)
I think my boss is about to fire me. Iam 24, this is my first full time job. I made a mistake when I started regarding my manager as my teacher, bugging er with queries, then I got a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) not realising that is what you get when you perform very badly, then I got a presentation which too did not work the way I was taught in college. Iam in my last project now, failure of which and Iam out. I think I have not done well in the first of three stages.
I feel your pain .

Oh, I’m so sorry! If it helps, I can tell you pretty much everyone goes through this? I failed at multiple jobs post-college. I lucked out and it wasn’t super obvious, because there was a recession so everyone was hoping between jobs, but I definitely did not do as good as I could have. One thing I discovered from my story and from hearing the same kind of thing from friends is that often (not always, but often) you are set up to fail. Bad Employers who know they have a troubled company will consciously or subconsciously hire a recent college grad because they know that person won’t realize how messed up the company is. I was hired for a few jobs that were way beyond my skill level, to the point that I was honestly surprised they were offered to me, and now looking back I can see there were internal politics and other things going on that made the employer want someone weak in that position.
It’s all a learning experience and there’s no shortcut, you have to just go through it until you get to the other side.

+1 to this on being setup to fail

Have you ever thought of applying for a job of movie critic?

Unfortunately, that’s not really a job that you can make a living at, unless you are a few very lucky people. Anyway, this way I get to keep movies as a fun thing instead of a work thing!

Shah Rukh is looking very nice in his photos. He is doing a new film with Suhana with Sujoy Ghosh. I’m not sure how the film will turn out but sounds interesting.
Also I completely understand the exhaustion you feel around kids and relatives. They completely drain energy out of you and make you feel like you have no energy.
Sorry about the job. I completely understand the situation you are going through as I am currently also in a similarly uncertain situation. It makes everything feel so exhausting.

Pics are gorgeous. The whole Locarno thing has been nonstop king SRK stories.
Still wishing you best of luck with the job search. Good for you gathering courage to leap. I’ve always been advised to find a new job before leaving and I’ve always found it extremely hard to properly job search while also focused on my current job, and much easier to focus and think clearly about all of the possibilities once I was out.

I’ve finally finished the hideous semester + extra project and I can post again. Thanks for the pictures! They are just the thing to get over the work stress.
Speaking of work stress, I’m sorry you’re having it and I’m wishing you the best of luck with a new job.
Only if it would be a nice stress-relieving thing for you, I am hoping we can do a Zoom discussion sometime in summer when I am free to do one. But if it’s extra stress then please don’t worry about it.

I had a very vivid dream of having a conversation with SRK last night. I woke up feeling my heart full, as though I’d really met him. I don’t remember a lot but that’s just how it goes

That’s lovely! I’m jealous. I had a very vivid dream of having a fight with my aunt. Less magical.
