So, rediff has now posted their pictures. Lots of semi-interesting gossip here! First, Malaika arrives, captioned as “Salman’s Munni Bhabi, as he likes to call her.” Interesting! So, Munni is of course a nickname for a small child (like he calls Shahida in Bajrangi Bhaijaan). Whereas Bhabi is a respectful term for your brother’s, usually your older brother’s, wife. Malaika is the oldest of the Khan family Bahus, but is not married to the oldest brother. So Munni Bhabi is kind of a cute compramise. Plus, it adds a new level to the Munni Badnaam song that Malaika did with him in Dabangg.
Next, Kangana Ranaut. Who, at least in interviews, pretends to be above and beyond this kind of big industry party. So, either she is a hypocrite, or she doesn’t want to offend Salman, or she is trying to turn a new leaf and break into the mainstream, which means a lot of networking and face time at things like this.
Genelia and Ritiesh are next, with Genelia protecting her tummy in a way that is not going to help with the pregnancy rumors. I wish them well! They are such a cute couple, and their current baby is cute, and I am sure any new baby would be cute also.

(cute!)
Boney Kapoor and the director of No Entry arrive together. Midly interesting there, they have been trying to get No Entry 2 off the ground for literally years (Boney is the producer), and Salman is just not giving them dates. No doubt they worked together and cornered him at the party in another attempt to reach an agreement.
Prabhudeva, a reminder that Salman is loyal to his friends, since Prabhu gave him a big hit with Wanted back in the day, even though his stock as a director has fallen in the past few years. Some actor I don’t care about is there too.
Sonam and Jacqueline arrive together, apparently they are friends, I had no idea and feel very out of it. Anyway, of course they both came, when you are a Salman heroine, you are a Salman heroine for life!
Thus also, Tabu! Salman gave her her first popular role in years in Jai Ho. Also, tennis player Sania Mirza, no idea why she is there or why she arrived with Tabu. I guess it is the hottest invite in town, so why not come?
Sooraj Barjatya, of course. Well, of course now, not so much last year. They had a falling out, but made up and made PRDP, and Salman has talked a lot about how they are closer than ever. Which I guess is true, since Sooraj is coming to the birthday party.
Suniel Shetty and his daughter, and the Pancholi family, of course, because Salman made Hero with their kids and now they owe him for life. It may have been a bad business decision short term, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it works out for him long term.
Sonakshi, Karisma, Raveena, Asin, Amisha, Chitrangda, Mallika. See above comment related to “heroine for life.” Esha Doel, I’m not sure if she ever acted opposite him? I think she is coming more as a representative of the Doel/Malini family. Being escorted by Shatrughan Sinha’s son as well as her husband suggests that, more of an honor guard of children of big names, than actually coming just for themselves.
Huma, Kriti, and Sophie, probably more about the hot ticket and seeing and being seen. They are all doing okay, careerwise, but they have to keep dancing if they want to stay there.
The music crew, Mika, Hemash, Sajid-Wajid, and Adnan Sami. They need jobs too. Neal Nitan Mukesh and Zayed Khan. Why Zayed Khan? He could need work, or he could be representing the greater Feroz Khan-Sanjay Khan family.

(Sanjay, his son Zayed, his brother and Zayed’s uncle Feroz. Big producers/stars in the 70s and 80s. Not Zayed, he was just a baby then, but the other two)
A bunch of politicians I don’t care about, but also directors David Dhawan and Rajkumar Hirani. Now that is interesting! They are so big that they don’t really need to come to something like this, but here they are! So, either Hirani is aiming for his first Salman movie (post-Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I actually think that might be a good fit) and Dhawan is aiming for a Salman reunion (they were an awesome team back in the 90s). Or they are both nice men who are just coming to wish him happy birthday. But I prefer my first guess.
And then Dino Morea, Kunal Khemu, Randeep Hooda, and Sanjay Kapoor. Don’t know why Dino is there, unless he is looking for work. Kunal is interesting, since he is married to Soha, but did not bring her (according to these photos). I guess this party is good enough for Saif and his wife, but not his little sister. Anyway, Kunal needs work too. Randeep Hooda has work, thanks to Salman who just gave him a role in his next film, so now he is a friend for life too. Sanjay Kapoor might be there as part of the family obligations for the assistance to Arjun’s career (Sanjay’s nephew, Boney’s son). Or as further support in an effort to get dates for No Entry.
And that’s it for that photo series! A bunch of blurry shots of people in cars, and look what all we learned from it. Truly, the paparazzi is doing the Lord’s work.
